Il lusso sostenibile del Gale Hotel&Residence di Miami

🏡 Gale Hotel & Residence di Miami, designed by GFO and Arquitectonica with interiors by Urban Robot Associates and featuring G.T. Design collections by Deanna Comellini, showcases luxury sustainable interior design. The hotel's shared spaces are adorned with bespoke, sustainable natural materials like the MeatPacking rug, assembled from 30-50 year old recycled hemp and cotton textiles, and the hand-painted wool Luoghi collection in meeting rooms. The Boom and Rime rug collections enhance the connection between nature and architecture, with textures from dense wool and soft bamboo fibers. Rime rugs decorate children's areas with fern leaf-inspired designs. G.T. Design’s eco-friendly approach reflects a commitment to responsible innovation and emotional design.

GRUPPO FS, PIANO STRATEGICO 2025-2029: 100 MILIARDI DI INVESTIMENTI PER ACCOMPAGNARE LA CRESCITA DEL PAESE

🏫 Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane unveiled their Strategic Plan 2025-2029 on December 12, 2024, in Rome with CEO Stefano Antonio Donnarumma, President Tommaso Tanzilli, and Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini. The Plan includes over €100 billion investments over five years and aims for revenue over €20 billion, EBITDA above €3.5 billion, and net income over €500 million. It will enhance service quality, complete infrastructure, and promote sustainable mobility. Operational costs will be reduced by 5%, and over 1 Gigawatt of photovoltaic installations is planned by 2029. The ERTMS will cover 100% of the Core Extended network by 2040, with infrastructural transformations through an investment of €60 billion. Railway infrastructure will receive more than €50 billion investment in ten years, while road infrastructure managed by Anas will get over €40 billion. Passenger transport in Italy is expected to grow by over 100 million, and international passenger numbers are projected to increase by 40%.

BizAway/Global Business Travel Association: per i viaggi business importanti sostenibilità e flessibilità

📊 Business travel in 2025 is forecasted to be driven by technological innovation, sustainability, and flexibility. In 2024, 86% of buyers and suppliers had performances as good as or better than expected. For 2025, 67% of professionals remain optimistic, with 52% (up from 44% in 2023) predicting increased corporate travel budgets. BizAway's 2024 data shows a 47% rise in accommodation bookings and a 57% increase in total reservations from 2023. BizAway's BizzyFlex service saw a 152.81% usage jump due to its up to 80% refund on last-minute changes and cancellations. The platform saved users an average of 15.5% on hotels and saw a 63% increase in sustainable travel options like train bookings from 2023. Additionally, 49% of industry professionals plan to invest more in technology, including AI, to enhance travel personalization and efficiency, while recognizing the irreplaceable value of human expertise in handling complex situations.

Over 200 Italian hotels have joined DINAclub, offering services like secure bike storage and charging stations for up to 7 bikes. Komoot app integration provides visibility to 40 million users, promoting hotels as cycling stops. DINAclub also features QR code-equipped bike racks for accessing offline maps and gamification elements.

easyJet fa scorta di Saf per le rotte da Malpensa

✈️ easyJet partners with Enilive to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for flights from Milan Malpensa Airport to Oslo and Tromsø during the winter season. An additional Letter of Intent signed for a potential 30,000 tons of Enilive SAF at other Italian airports. Air France-Klm, United Airlines, and Norwegian lead the sustainability efforts among 77 evaluated airlines. In 2023, airlines consumed 2.6 million barrels of alternative fuels, just 0.15% of total sector fuel use, while fossil kerosene usage exceeded 1.6 billion barrels. By 2030, North American airlines are expected to use 2.7% sustainable fuels, surpassing Europe's 1.3%.
