Costa Smeralda, primo rifornimento di Gnl a Dubai
🚢 Costa Smeralda, a cruise ship, completed its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling in Dubai's port on a recent Saturday, marking the port's first LNG operation for a cruise ship. This was facilitated by logistics provider Monjasa and Dubai's Port Authority. The tanker 'Green Zeebrugge' supplied approximately 3,000 cubic meters of LNG, enough for at least two and a half weeks. LNG reduces direct CO2 emissions by up to 20%. Costa Smeralda visited Dubai on December 21, will spend the winter until February 2025 in the UAE, and on March 1, 2025, will embark on a 37-day return cruise to the Mediterranean, arriving in Genoa on April 7, 2025.
