Wttc: “Gli effetti del cambiamento climatico sul turismo marino costeranno 65 miliardi di dollari all’anno”
🗻 Protecting coastal and marine tourism from climate change will cost $65 billion annually, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council's report presented at COP29 in Baku. The sector, which generated $1.5 trillion and supported 52 million jobs globally in 2023, accounts for 50% of all tourism spending and contributes 0.8% to global greenhouse gas emissions. Direct emission reductions are estimated at $30 billion globally. The report is a collaboration between the WTTC, Iberostar Group, and Oxford Economics.
