🥃 XIII Roma Whisky Festival ended on March 1-2, 2025, setting a record with 4,300 visitors, over 200 brands, and 1,000+ whisky references. It featured 16 Masterclasses, 130 attendees in Whisky ABC Courses, over 400 cocktails, and 30+ international guests. Winners: Best Scotch - Caol Ila 2011 (54.6%), Best World Whisky - Erètico 7 YO (47%), Best Cask Strength - Wolfburn Cask Strength (56.9%).

☕ Imperator S.r.l., a leader in raw coffee importation, organized "Caffè SENZA CONFINI: dalle origini al Porto di Trieste" following an announcement at Sigep in Rimini. Participants experienced a full immersion into the coffee world, from origins to roasting, focusing on the transformations affecting aroma and taste. Highlights included a visit to the Porto of Trieste, Magazzino 57 of Donelli Group, a small batch coffee roasting session at Bloom Coffee School, and a sensory lab with sector experts, chefs, and pastry chefs. Prominent gastronomy figures attended, including Martino Maino of Metullio - De Pra at Harri's Piccolo, and journalists Marco Colognese and Luca Roncadin.

🍻 From March 16-18, Düsseldorf hosts ProWein, celebrating its 30th anniversary, with Gruppo Caffo 1915 showcasing at Stand 5B 36. Germany is a strategic market for Caffo, with Vecchio Amaro del Capo's market share steadily increasing. Caffo Deutschland closed 2024 with growth despite market challenges, achieving a +16.3% increase in GDO, against a general market decline of -5.2% (Circana data). The Gruppo will feature Ready to Serve cocktails and debut Calabräu's craft beers, including MountLion and Birra del Monaco Calabrese, at ProWein. Salmiacello, a new liquor, targets the Nordic market and is served chilled at -20°C for modern cocktails. ProWein is critical for Gruppo Caffo's international expansion, focusing on quality and authenticity.

🍸 Iconic Milanese cocktail bar Flores Cócteles presents its third "Flores Guest Series" on Tuesday, March 18, featuring top Italian bartenders Agostino Galli and Sirak Meconnen. Starting at 19:30, they will offer a sensory journey with three innovative twists on classic cocktails inspired by South America. Galli's exclusive drink list includes Red Phantom with Patrón tequila, Sol y Humo with mezcal Del Maguey Vida, and Pickle-Ita featuring cucumber brine. The event offers an immersive experience in contemporary mixology with free entry.

🍷 ProWein 2025, an international wine trade fair in Düsseldorf from March 16-18, will feature the launch of "Cielo Extraordinary," a premium range by Cielo e Terra, among other Italian wine highlights. This new selection showcases unique blends from Central and Southern Italy. Calabrian wines will be spotlighted, with the Meininger award ceremony on March 15. The Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino, with 35 represented companies, will offer tastings including Brunello di Montalcino 2020 and Riserva 2019. Valdo Spumanti presents its extensive wine collection, including Prosecco Metodo Classico and Valdo Vigna Pradase. Italy's wine excellence will be under the international spotlight, reaffirming the industry's commitment to excellence and sustainability.

🍕 Petra Molino Quaglia partners with Ego Pizza Festival, celebrating contemporary pizza on March 21-22 in Taranto at Villa Peripato. The event honors Mediterranean Diet through traditional Italian ingredients, emphasizing quality flour with wheat germ, sprouted cereals, and higher fiber content. The festival will also spotlight the "Adotta un Raccolto per Petra Evolutiva" project, showcasing the cultivation of a biological evolutionary population of soft wheat in Salento. Petra supported "Aspettando Ego Pizza Festival" events from January 28 to March 6 with 24 pizzaioli, reflecting the company's commitment to Italian pizza culture, including establishing the Pizza University and the 2012 Contemporary Italian Pizza Manifesto.

☕ SCA Italy organized Coffee Triathlon and Latte Art ThrowDown at Horeca Expoforum on March 17-18. Competitions offer young baristas a chance to showcase skills and win a direct entry to SCA Italy Barista selections and sponsored travel. The Coffee Triathlon includes contests for Best Espresso, Best Filter, and Best Signature Drink. Winners of the Latte Art ThrowDown get sponsored participation in official selections, with the runner-up bypassing online registration. Seven roasters and industry-leading sponsors supported the event, aiming to engage the public and professionals in quality coffee culture.

☕ The 8th edition of Trieste Coffee Experts is scheduled for December 6-7, 2025, in Trieste, at the Savoia Excelsior Palace. It aims to create a network within the Italian coffee sector during a time of change and uncertainty. Michele Cannone, Global Brand Director of Lavazza, emphasizes the importance of collaboration within the complex coffee industry. The event will feature discussions on future sector challenges, with streaming and simultaneous English translation for international accessibility.

🚢 In Catanzaro, Assomarinas President Roberto Perocchio, alongside Regional Council President Mancuso and other dignitaries, presented a new municipal initiative for Catanzaro Lido's port. The project involves transforming a partly silted and degraded refuge harbor into a modern marina for 400 boats up to 20 meters. It includes a separate fishing dock, waterfront enhancements, and beach nourishment for the nearby Blue Flag-awarded Giovino beach. The redevelopment is based on project financing seeking private investors. Announced on March 13, 2025, the plan aims to optimize existing spaces and boost nautical tourism in Calabria's coast.
