📍 Eva Air, a Taiwanese airline, focuses on boosting leisure travel to Taiwan. On October 26, they will host the popular Eva Air Marathon 2025, aiming to promote Taipei's tourism beyond its business image. Despite two-thirds of its traffic from Milan Malpensa to Taipei being Taiwanese, Eva Air has ordered six A350-1000s and three A321neos to expand its fleet to 42 units and enhance inbound tourism. Eva Air offers a 13% discount on standard flight fares until May 31. They also promote events targeted at specific demographics and families, including the Hakka Tung Blossom Festival, Taiwan Hot Spring & Fine Cuisine Carnival, and the Bunun tribe's Ear-shooting festival.

🎵 Portugal launches international campaign "Portugal Music Festivals Headliners" to promote itself as a top destination for music lovers, leveraging its natural beauty, ocean, sun, artistic heritage, culture, flavors, wellness, and diversity. Carlos Abade, president of Portugal's Tourism Authority, highlights the campaign as part of a global strategy to showcase Portugal as a vibrant, sustainable, and culturally diverse destination, reinforcing the "Portugal Events" program. The campaign features imaginative musical groups like 'Waves of Solitude' and 'The Future Rainbows' to symbolize tourist experiences. It spreads its message through digital media, Connected TV, and music platforms, including a curated playlist on Spotify.

🏰 Over 200,000 people and 170 foreign delegations expected in Rome and Vatican for Pope Francis' funeral. Security measures include no-fly zone over Vatican, over 10,000 law enforcement officers deployed, enhanced forces with snipers, bomb squads, and canine units. Civil Protection tasked with event management, medical stations, and security measures. Access points with metal detectors and anti-drone devices established for St. Peter's Square entry. Airports, train, and metro stations also monitored.

✈ Global Airlines, owned by magnate James Asquith, will inaugurate its first round-trip flight on May 15, from Glasgow to New York and return on May 19. A subsequent flight is scheduled from Manchester on May 21, returning on May 25, utilizing an A380. Currently, these are the only flights announced, with plans to operate four A380s, but only one is available at the moment.

✈ On April 25, at 11:35, the first Amsterdam-Genova flight will land in Genova as part of a charter plan for Dutch and German customers by Costa Crociere with Corendon and Condor. The Corendon-operated flights, scheduled every Friday from April 25 to June 27 and September 5 to October 24, will total 18 rotations with an estimated 7,600 passengers. Additionally, Condor will start weekly charters on May 4 from Düsseldorf to Genova, continuing until October 19, 2025, with 25 round trips and approximately 9,000 guests.

🍋 Limoncè, Italy and Europe’s favorite limoncello for over 35 years, is the main sponsor of the Infiorata di Noto in Siracusa, Sicily, from May 16-20. The event features a large floral installation depicting Limoncè's brand logo by Sicilian Masters of Flowers. Stock Spirits will introduce Limoncè Aperitivo alla Siciliana during the festival, made with 100% Sicilian lemons, 14.8% alcohol content and designed for a refreshing Limoncè Spritz. 🍰 The 7th National Championship of Pastry for Hotel Institutes of Italy, organized by FIPGC and IIS Azuni, takes place on April 28-30, 2025, in Cagliari. 27 schools and 54 students from across Italy are participating, with teams of two preparing six plated desserts in three hours. The event includes training courses, the presence of expert judges, and is open to the public with live Facebook streaming. The winners receive gold, silver, or bronze medals, trophies, and national recognition from the Ministry of Education.

🍯 Arrigoni Battista, a historic Bergamo dairy recognized as a leader in the Made in Italy sector, will be at Tuttofood (May 5-8, Pavilion 1 – Stand H13) in Milan with a wide range of dairy products. Celebrating 110 years in 2024, they introduced Quartirolo Lombardo DOP cheese cubes in oil with "Battista 1914" herbs, targeting both Italian and foreign markets. These products have a 15-month shelf life, ambient storage, and come in four varieties: herb, truffle, chili, and chili-stuffed with Quartirolo Lombardo DOP and artichokes. The fourth-generation family business exports to 36 countries and has over 100 medals from international contests in the last 20 years.

European destinations like Amsterdam, Monaco, Sofia, and Bari are also part of the winter schedule. Nicolas Hénin, VP of Sales and Marketing at Transavia France, states they will operate 168 routes this winter to meet high travel demand and regional development goals.
