Premio Regina Colomba Regina Pastiera: Pasticceria Cappiello e Giulia Ripamonti sul podio

🍰 Pasticceria Cappiello from Santa Maria Capua Vetere clinched victory with their colomba at the Premio Regina Colomba Regina Pastiera, while capo pasticciera Giulia Ripamonti from ‘Offi Caffè’ in Lecco won for pastiera for the third consecutive year. Artisanal Easter treats, adhering to a strict recipe and made with natural flavors and no artificial additives, were featured, with entries from Italy and Canton Ticino. Second and third places went to Pasticceria Roberto Pastry&Bakery and Rizzo Bistrot&Caffè for colomba, and Pasticceria Perrotta and Pasticceria La Marianna for pastiera, respectively.

From April 1 to May 25, 2025, the Central Ortofrutticola di Tarquinia, supported by the EU, will promote certified European organic produce in Rome's dining scene over 106 days across three restaurants: Porchetta e Bollicine (Apr 1-May 13), IV Fuochi (Apr 2-May 11), SpaccioVino (Apr 9-May 25). These venues were chosen for their culinary excellence and commitment to sustainability.

🍴 "Le Terrazze al Colosseo" in Rome, located atop Room Mate Mia hotel, reopened on April 10, 2025, after a renovation that included a new panoramic view of the Flavian Amphitheatre. Managed by Mchef Italia and NoSilence Eventi, the venue now features two dining options: BISTROT and RISTORANTE ALLA CARTA. With a revamped logo and a "Roof top Restaurant & bar" tagline, it offers a BISTROT menu from 12:00 to 23:00 and an a la carte restaurant open weekdays 18:00-23:00 and weekends 12:30-15:00. Ingredients include fresh fish from the "Riviera di Ulisse" ensuring high-quality dining.

The British multinational acquired 21 Seeds in spring 2022 for an undisclosed sum. UK nightlife faces a crisis, with predictions of over half of the bars, pubs, and clubs potentially closing by 2030, risking 3.5 million jobs, one-third of the hospitality workforce. London's venue offering could plummet by over 57% from 8,457 to 3,617 within five years. Despite this, luxury cocktails thrive, with Salvatore Calabrese's Salvatore’s Legacy priced at €8,800, making it Europe's most expensive. The Baccarat x Patrón, crafted by Calabrese for Baccarat's 260th anniversary, auctioned on April 7 for €36,990 in Dubai, and the Ritz Carlton Tokyo's Diamonds are Forever sold for over €18,000.

Campionato Mondiale della Pizza 2025: ecco tutti i vincitori

🍕 The 32nd edition of the World Pizza Championship in Parma saw over 700 pizzaioli from 48 countries and more than 6,000 visitors. Giuliano Bucci won the Pizza Napoletana STG category, Giuseppe Balsomini took home the Pizza Classica and Sustainability awards, Stefan Enchev and Dzehyan Dzhaferov triumphed in Pizza a Due, Jenny Fontebasso excelled in Pizza Senza Glutine, Giuseppe Criminisi dominated Pizza in Teglia, Giorgio Sabbatini led Pizza in Pala, and Mattia Montagnani topped the World's Best Homemade Pizza category. Technical skill awards went to Takumi Tachikawa for Freestyle, Massimo Montoli for Largest Pizza, Giuseppe Amendola for Fastest Pizza, and “Duri come il Marmo” team from Massa Carrara won the World Pizza Team competition. Nicole Batzella received the Triathlon Pizza prize and Giuseppe Criminisi also claimed the Parmigiano Reggiano award.
