☕ Rhea introduced two innovative vending solutions at Vendex Midlands, an essential event for the vending industry in the UK. The rhFS1 features leaf tea preparation with unique induction heating technology, ensuring optimal infusion temperature and energy efficiency. Additionally, the rhFS2.milk offers a variety of drinks using fresh milk or plant-based alternatives, employing Varitherm induction technology for superior cup quality and energy savings compared to traditional machines with boilers. Both machines cater to premium and sustainable consumer experiences, aligning with British consumers' expectations of high-quality beverage experiences. Rhea's CEO Andrea Pozzolini and Rheavendors UK's Managing Director Steve Rossington highlighted the commitment to combining tradition and technology to enhance break times.

Vinitaly 2025: torna la vetrina mondiale del vino italiano

🍷 The 57th Vinitaly is set to open at Veronafiere, April 6-9, with about 4,000 exhibitors from 140 countries. The 2025 edition aims to attract 30,000 international buyers, including those from the USA. The event, spanning 18 pavilions, emphasizes promotion and internationalization, serving as a key business platform for Italian wines. Vinitaly now acts as an innovation incubator, with 1,200 top buyers from 71 countries. USA, Canada, China, UK, Brazil, India, Singapore, Japan, and South Korea are notable non-EU delegations, while Germany, Switzerland, and the Nordic and Balkan regions lead Europe. New features include NoLo wines, RAW Wine, and the Vinitaly Tourism project. Vinitaly Opera Wine 2025 will showcase 131 wines, with Tuscany, Piedmont, and Veneto leading regional participation.

🍪 In Italy, "mindful eating" is gaining popularity, with a study by ANCIT and AstraRicerche on 1,025 Italians aged 18-65 highlighting the link between diet and mental well-being. Key findings include the importance of physical activity (90.5%), sleep (90.3%), and varied diet (90%). Eating in company (86.8%) and outdoors (82.6%) are also valued for mood enhancement. The study revealed that canned tuna, rich in mood-boosting tryptophan (280 mg/100g), is undervalued, with only 8.4% aware of its benefits. Despite this, 59.9% of Italians consume canned tuna weekly, valuing its taste and convenience. In recent years, 34.8% of Italians have increased their canned tuna intake.

🏖️ Assoviaggi Confesercenti reports a mixed outcome for organized tourism in Q1 2025. Centro Studi Turistici di Firenze reveals 738 travel agencies face higher costs, affecting tourists and agencies. Despite inflation, 800,000 Italians traveled, with 600,000 going abroad, preferring mid-range options. Agency revenues rose by 4.2% from Q1 2024, with the best performance in the North East (+5.9%) and North West (+4.7%). Costs increased by 9.2%, including transport services (+11.5%) and accommodation and catering (+12%). Management costs also climbed by 7%, led by energy (+12.9%) and mandatory insurance (+9.3%).

Alpitour World, l’Egitto torna da protagonista

🏖 Pier Ezhaya of Alpitour World confirms that Egypt's tourism is recovering to 80% of its 2023 levels. In 2023, Egypt accounted for €54 million of Alpitour's €141 million EBITDA. The company offset potential losses by reallocating capacity to the Canaries and Cape Verde. Alpitour has hit two-thirds of its annual target, projecting a 14% year-over-year growth, aiming for a €1.55 billion revenue with a €100-110 million increase in 2024. New destinations include Cartagena and Miches, with Madagascar, Comoros Islands, and Andaman taking around three years to develop.
