Roma ‘sold out’ per i funerali di Papa Francesco
🗽 In Rome, the Liberation Day and Pope Francis' funeral caused a surge in hospitality occupancy, nearly reaching full capacity. Giuseppe Roscioli of Federalberghi Rome reported 205,000 hotel stays and 115,000 extra-hotel accommodations. Bars and restaurants saw a 35% increase in revenue over the same period last year, with estimated earnings of €42 million.
