La raccolta si concluderà a metà dicembre, in anticipo rispetto all'anno scorso, quando furono raccolte 7.100 tonnellate. Situazione simile in Spagna, Grecia, e Turchia. Masseria Fruttirossi continua il suo programma di trasformazione e prevede di espandere la capacità produttiva con nuove aree e un secondo impianto. Attualmente, possiede 200.000 piante su 360 ettari.
