Infojobs: nella ricerca del lavoro il turismo è quinto in classifica

📈 In Italy's 2024 job market, nearly 340,000 job offers indicate stability, with a slight drop of 2.4% from 2023. Lombardy leads with 29% of offers, followed by Emilia-Romagna (16.4%), and Veneto (13.8%). The most job offers are in Milan (10.4%), then Rome (5.1%), and Turin (4.7%). In demand are manufacturing and quality jobs (29.1%), followed by logistics (9.8%), and retail (9.3%). Pharmaceutical sector searches have jumped by 73.7%, while database searches by companies fell by 20.6%, yet CV downloads rose by 20.8%, reaching over 240,000.

I consumi di vino e spirits italiani negli Stati Uniti chiudono il 2024 in calo

🍷 Italian wine sales in the U.S. dropped by 4.4% in volume during 2024, with the overall market contracting by 7.2%. Despite the general downturn, Italian sparkling wines grew by 1.5%. However, white and red wines decreased by 6.4%. Notably, sales of Sicilian whites increased by 5%, and both Brunello di Montalcino and Prosecco saw a rise of 3% and 1% respectively. The export of Italian wine, in contrast, grew by 7% in the first 11 months of 2024, driven particularly by a 41% surge in sparkling wine demand in November. The total revenue, however, fell by 2.5% to 2.6 billion euros.

In Italy, 70% of households (17.7 million) consume plant-based products, and 51% (13 million families) eat plant-based alternatives weekly. Plant-based beverages are bought by 42% (10.7 million families), while plant-based yogurts and desserts are less common, consumed by 17% (4.3 million) and 13% (3.4 million), respectively. Ethics, health, and sustainability drive the plant-based trend.

Cresce la GDO in Italia: il 2024 si chiude con un +1,8%

🛒 In 2024, Italy's Omnichannel GDO revenue reached €135.1 billion, a +1.8% increase over 2023. Leading the growth were Drug Specialists (+8.8%), Supermarkets (+2.6%), Discounts (+2.3%), and Superstores (+2.1%), while Free Services (-2.4%) and Iper>4500 (-1.9%) declined. Packaged Consumption (LCC) grew by +2%, with Grocery (+1.9%) and Fresh (+1.8%) sectors also up. December sales promotions rose to 26.2%, a +1.8 pp increase from 2023. December 2024 alone saw €14.4 billion in revenue, with Drug Specialists (+5.1%) leading. Distributor brand (MDD) products made up 21.6% of LCC in Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, and Free Services, and 30% across all channels (including Discounts). Grocery value dipped slightly in December 2024 (-0.5% vs. December 2023), with volume down by -1.1%.

Gelato made in Italy: passione destagionalizzata e successo globale

🍨 AstraRicerche's study for the Istituto del Gelato Italiano showed that 54% of foreigners seek Italian ice cream in their home countries after tasting it in Italy. Over 63% of respondents consume it even during colder months. The research involved consumers from the US, UK, Spain, France, and Germany. Key attributes valued are traditional Italian recipes (62.1%), Italian production or company origin (32.6%), and less so, Italy-themed packaging (17%). Taste is the top reason for preference (76.6%), followed by creaminess (75.2%), and quality of ingredients (67.3%). Italian ice cream is associated with genuineness and health (56.1%) and as a symbol of Made in Italy (63.5%). Consumption habits show 33.6% consume it 4-6 times out of 10, and 27.1% choose it for 70% of their consumption. Italy produced 168,170 tons of ice cream in 2023 with a per capita consumption of 2.14 kg. Sales remained stable from January to September 2024 with 3.3 billion portions sold.
