🚢 The 65th Salone Nautico Internazionale di Genova is set for September 18-23. Exhibitor space is 85% outdoors, and last year's event featured 3,855 sea trials. President Andrea Razeto highlighted unique strengths, such as premium docks and thematic areas. The event supports professional international visitors and journalists through ICE Agenzia. With new infrastructure like 800 underground parking spaces and improved transit to Milan, the 2025 edition aims for ISO 20121 certification, emphasizing sustainability and social inclusion. The Italian nautical industry hit €8.33 billion in 2024, leading in boat exports with €4.4 billion and commanding over 50% of global superyacht orders.

BWH Hotels Italia & Malta chiude il 2024 con un fatturato di 377 milioni

🏨 BWH Hotels Italia & Malta wrapped up 2024 with €377 million in B&B revenue, a 74% average annual occupancy rate, and a 3.8% increase in Average Daily Rate (ADR) across 170 properties. The ADR rose by up to 7.8% in Rome, with other cities also showing significant growth. Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) increased by 2.7%, outperforming pre-pandemic levels by 34% for ADR and 38.5% for RevPAR. Key milestones included expansion to Malta with a 160-room hotel, the direct management of affiliated hotels via SIHO, the transformation into a Società Benefit, gender parity certification (UNI/PdR 125:2022), and 44 properties receiving ESG certifications. For 2025, bookings are already up by 10% for spring and summer, with a 3% higher ADR. The group is launching 42 renovation projects, enhancing 61 Property Management Systems, and adding 769 new rooms in destinations like Matera and Torri del Benaco.

About 50 positions are open at the Torre di Cala Piccola, Isolotto Beach Club, and LA ROQQA hotels. Miramis aims to select candidates for food & beverage and room division roles, with 70% of last season's staff reconfirmed, highlighting the commitment to local employment and talent development. Nearly 75% of employees are local, and accommodations are provided for non-local staff at the Tris Hotel. New hires will attend Ice Breaking Days for team integration and training in soft skills, health and safety, and department-specific skills. Stefano Cuoco, Miramis Italy's Managing Director, emphasizes the company's sustainable social model and its positive impact on employee retention in the luxury hospitality sector. Additionally, there are three new educational programs for leadership roles and ongoing coaching opportunities.
