Wizz Air sempre più green, un piano per raggiungere il Net Zero entro il 2050
✈ Wizz Air is committing to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 through its 'Flying Toward Net Zero' plan. The strategy includes reducing emissions by 30% with new aircraft technology and fleet renewal, cutting 53% via Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and a 4% reduction through modernized air traffic management. The airline has already invested €14 billion in operations improvement, including new generation aircraft and SAF production. Corporate & ESG Officer Yvonne Moynihan emphasizes the need for radical changes beyond science, involving political decisions, investment strategies, market dynamics, and timely implementation of essential measures. Wizz Air calls for urgent governmental and regulatory action to support the aviation industry's transition to net zero.
