Dalla City al vigneto: la visione di Tiziano Bellini

🍷 Tiziano Bellini, a successful manager and statistics professor, returns to Italy to create "La Cantina dell'Innovazione" in Sabbioni, Mantova. The project uses local tradition and innovative wine-making, challenging stereotypes with an environmentally sustainable approach. The vineyard grows Ancellotta, Grappello Ruberti, Pinot Nero, and Pinot Chardonnay varieties on Po river plains, benefiting from a unique climate. Wines are named after local dialects and family members, distributed in Italy, Spain, Canada, and the UK. Decanter World Wine Award 2024 recognized GIORGIO, a wine featuring Ancellotta grapes with a 24-month aging process in French oak. Tiziano's wines emphasize traditional craftsmanship and scientific rigor, aiming to showcase the Viadanese and Sabbionetano terroir.

Crescita solida per l'industria alimentare italiana: export in aumento nel 2024

🍝 The Italian food sector's export from January to October 2024 reached €47.411,5 million, marking a +9.0% growth over the same period in 2023, according to Centro Studi di Federalimentare's analysis of Istat statistics. Over the last five years (2019-2024), food export increased by +56.3%, outpacing the country's total export growth of +28.3%. The sector's export share rose from 7.8% in 2019 to 9.2% in 2024. The U.S. market showed a significant increase of +18.4%. Other notable market growths include Poland (+18.7%), Canada (+16.6%), Japan (+12.5%), and Australia (+15.4%). The strongest sub-sector performances were "oils and fats" (+28.0%), "confectionery" (+16.6%), and "fish processing" (+16.2%). The primary sector (agriculture-livestock) achieved export earnings of €9.166,4 million, contributing to a total agri-food export of €56.577,8 million, heading towards a record high of nearly €70 billion.

🍺 Birrificio 2 Sorelle, run by Federica and Elisa Toso, revamped its beer range with modern graphics featuring a female silhouette, reflecting the brewery's women-led history. Located in the heart of Langhe, the brewery was established in 2011 and cultivates its own barley and hops, with the first hop harvest in September last year. Awarded by Slow Food's Beer Guide 2025, the brewery offers six unfiltered, unpasteurized beers with a unique 33 cl vichy bottle design and multilingual labels, each with a color-coded identity: Naïf (yellow), Sister Ale (orange), Amber (red), Special (purple), Hella Hop (green), Wahida (blue). The restyling extends to caps, boxes, and coasters, emphasizing the brewery's philosophy of celebrating local heritage and female influence.
