Danimarca, cresce il mercato italiano: pernottamenti a più 17,6%

🏖 In Denmark, Italian tourists accounted for 482,804 overnight stays in 2024, a 17.6% growth from the previous year. Spring months (April and May) saw increases of 33% and 34%, October and November up by 24% and 34%. Denmark's appeal includes its history, culture, design, architecture, and increasingly, its gastronomy—with 31 Michelin-starred restaurants totaling 44 stars. Outdoor activities and sports are key to VisitDenmark's promotional strategies. Copenhagen remains the top destination, followed by South Zealand & Møn, Funen, Aarhus, North Jutland, Billund area, and the Eastern coastal region.

Gnv, il 2025 sarà “l’anno del rilancio insieme alle adv”

🚢 Grandi Navi Veloci's 2025 dubbed as "year of relaunch" with a €600 million investment for four new ships—two GNL-powered. Gnv Polaris with 250 cabins begins Genova-Palermo route in June, followed by Gnv Orion, Gnv Virgo, and Gnv Aurora in 2026, each with 450 cabins and a large garage for 230 trucks. Sardegna remains a top destination with 2,000 cabin offerings daily. Challenges include EU's ETS taxation affecting ticket costs and LNG supply difficulties in Italian ports.

Il brand Alitalia torna sugli aerei di Ita Airways

✈ Ita Airways will launch "Inspired by Alitalia" on three new-generation aircraft, starting with an Airbus A350 on February 15, 2025, on the Rome Fiumicino - Tokyo Haneda route. The slogan honors Alitalia's legacy and will also appear on an Airbus A321neo for medium-haul and an Airbus A220-100 for short-haul flights during the summer season to enhance the historical brand's value.

Emirates ripristina il terzo volo da Roma a Dubai

✈️ Emirates will launch a third daily flight on the Dubai-Roma route on June 1, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER. The flight will depart Dubai at 03:30 and arrive in Rome at 07:40, with the return flight leaving Rome at 11:30 and landing in Dubai at 19:20 local time. The aircraft will feature 8 private First Class suites, 42 lie-flat Business seats, and 310 Economy seats, offering over 6,500 on-demand entertainment channels in more than 40 languages. Emirates has operated in Italy for over 30 years, now with 42 weekly flights connecting Milan, Venice, Bologna, and Rome to Dubai using a mix of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380, including a non-stop Milan-New York JFK route. An Airbus A350 will soon join the fleet for Bologna flights.

🚢 CONFINDUSTRIA NAUTICA, following its Council meeting on February 8 in Genoa, praised the "Libro Verde" proposed by Minister Adolfo Urso aimed at a shared industrial strategy. The Italian nautical industry achieved a historic export record of €4.4 billion in 2024, maintaining Italy's position as the world's leading exporter. Government policies, including the "Piano del Mare" by Minister Nello Musumeci, support the sector, addressing market slowdowns and promoting competitiveness. Reforms for deregulation and simplification for boaters are underway, complementing infrastructural and health department decrees for simplified professional titles and new licenses. A technical roundtable discussed sediment removal at tourist harbors, while an MP proposed a bill to advance port reform. President Saverio Cecchi highlighted the Association's commitment to nautical industry development, enhanced by prestigious companies like Brunswick Marine and Volvo joining its ranks.

ISTAT: l’inflazione in crescita impatta sul travel

💸 In January 2025, Italian inflation rose by 1.5%, with regulated energy goods such as electricity and gas tariffs for domestic use contributing significantly. The national consumer price index (NIC) increased by 0.6% monthly, excluding tobacco. Regulated tariffs soared by 27.8% annually, while non-regulated energy goods like vehicle fuels, lubricants, and domestic fuels saw a decrease in deflation from -4.2% to -3.0%. Processed food prices grew from +1.7% to +2.0%. Transportation service prices slowed from +3.6% to +2.5%, communication services from +1.2% to +0.9%. Core inflation excluding energy and fresh food remained stable at +1.8%, whereas excluding only energy goods, it slightly increased from +1.7% to +1.8%. The monthly general index increase was driven by regulated energy prices (+14.5%), unregulated energy (+2.6%), processed food (+1.2%), unprocessed food (+0.9%), and durable goods (+0.5%), partially offset by the transport services price drop (-2.3%). The year-on-year Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) changed by -0.7% monthly due to winter sales and +1.7% annually.
