Isole del Pacifico più connesse: accordo fra Air Tahiti Nui e Air Rarotonga

📍 Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga have initiated a partnership to enhance connections between France, the United States, and the Cook Islands via French Polynesia. The strategic collaboration improves flexibility, optimizes itineraries, and simplifies connections between the Pacific islands. Now, passengers can travel on a single ticket, easing the travel experience through hubs in Faa’a à Papeete (PPT) and Rarotonga International Airport (RAR). The cooperation offers 4 return flights weekly, coordinated by Air Rarotonga (GZ) and Air Tahiti (VT), in conjunction with Air Tahiti Nui flights to and from Papeete.

a&o Hostels apre a Firenze la sua seconda struttura italiana

🏡 Oliver Winter, CEO of a&o Hostels, opened a&o Firenze Campo di Marte in Florence, featuring 119 rooms with a central location near Campo di Marte station. The hostel is equipped with seven self-check-in terminals in 13 languages, cleaning robots, a mobile key app, electric vehicle charging stations, and 40 parking spaces. The building will be redesigned by BWM Architektur & Design, adding a multifunctional courtyard for sports and recreation. The Florence hostel has 466 beds and is the second a&o in Italy after Venice (2017), contributing to the chain's total of 42 hostels across Europe.

Wizz Air inaugura il nuovo volo Roma-Hurghada

✈ Wizz Air reached 20 million passengers at the capital's airport and expands connections to Egypt, adding Hurghada. Flights from Rome Fiumicino to Hurghada start on June 3, twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and from July, on Mondays and Fridays. All flights will be operated with the latest generation Airbus A321neo. Tamara Nikiforova, senior communications manager, highlighted the new route and the aim to strengthen ties with Egypt after celebrating the 20-million passenger milestone at Fiumicino in January.

Garner Hotels sbarca a Roma, il nuovo brand midscale di IHG

🏨 IHG Garner Hotels launched in Italy by rebranding a Pacini Group property into Garner Rome Aurelia. Strategically located west of Rome on Via Aurelia, the hotel offers access to Fiumicino Airport, Vatican City, Trastevere, and downtown attractions. In January 2025, Pacini Group completed a total renovation of the hotel, now featuring 58 rooms, a restaurant, bar, open terrace, and meeting area. This marks IHG's commitment to strengthening its mid-scale segment in Italy and expanding its portfolio with Willemijn Geels, VP Development Europe, and Emidio Pacini, Founder & CEO of Pacini Group, expressing enthusiasm for the partnership and market growth.

Volotea, numeri in crescita negli hub di Firenze e Palermo

🏩 Volotea experienced growth in 2024 at its Florence and Palermo bases, with over 2,500 flights (24% increase from 2023) and 367,000 passengers (27% increase) in Florence, boasting a 94% average load factor. 13 destinations were connected from Florence, 77% exclusively. Palermo saw over 3,000 flights (15% increase from 2023), transporting nearly 500,000 passengers (15% increase), and offered 20 routes, 65% exclusively.

Msc, Massa: “Per il 2025 outlook positivo”

🎢 Leonardo Massa, vice president of MSC Group's cruise division, projects a positive outlook for the cruise sector in 2025, with strong travel demand evident from booking volumes. The average cruise price is nearing 2023 values. In April 2025, MSC will welcome the 23rd fleet vessel, MSC World America. Major infrastructure developments include the inauguration of a new terminal in Barcelona in March 2025 and a Miami terminal in April, capable of handling 30,000 people daily, thanks to a $400 million investment. The company is expanding into the American market with new itineraries to Alaska from Seattle starting in 2026. The fourth World-class ship, yet to be named, will join for the 2027-2028 winter season, offering year-round 7-night Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral. The luxury segment will see Explora I and Explora II operating in the Mediterranean throughout summer 2025. Additionally, 2025 brings spring mini-cruises in the Mediterranean and the continuation of Canary Islands programs into the next winter.

🍾 Emirates, starting in May, will introduce 18 new dishes for Business Class travelers, created by Michelin-starred Chef Jean Michel Bardet of Moët & Chandon and Emirates' VP of Culinary Design Doxis Bekris. Developed over a year with Moët & Chandon in France, Emirates serves 149 meals per minute, totaling over 77 million meals annually. Dishes range from scallops with Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016 to roast duck with Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial, including vegan options. Emirates has partnered with Moët Hennessy for 33 years, offering champagne in all classes.
