🏗️ Milan Design Week, from April 8 to 13, 2025, hosts the 8th edition of dOT-design Outdoor Texture covering over 1000 sqm across San Marco, Brera. Organized by VG crea and EN Space network, it focuses on material research and technology in design, emphasizing the evolution of craftsmanship, tradition, and innovation. Exhibits include site-specific installations, product showcases, and dOT MATERICA, exploring the use of materials in architecture and design. Four design firms to present mono-material microspaces, with a follow-up event at InOut Expo in Rimini, October 2025.

L’ispirazione ai superyacht nel Jumeirah Marsa al Arab di Dubai

🏖 Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, designed by architect Shaun Killa, opened on March 14 in Dubai, completing the Jumeirah marine trilogy. It features 300 rooms and 86 suites inspired by Italian Riva yachts with terraces over 22 sqm. The hotel offers 82 private residences ranging from 79 to 229 sqm with access to a private pool, gym, and spa facilities, highlighted by a lobby chandelier with 1,500 hand-blown crystals. The Talise spa spans 3,500 sqm with 13 treatment suites. Guests can enjoy 11 culinary experiences and four bars, including a venue by renowned pastry chef Pierre Hermé.

🌅 Interno Marche, a destination hotel, opened in April 2024 in Tolentino, Italy. The 3,600 square meter property, once home to Nazareno Gabrielli and Poltrona Frau, now features 25 designer-inspired rooms and 5 suites themed around 20th-century stylistic movements. ORAstudio designed the hotel, with Fabrizio Mancini handling lighting and Luigina Giordani landscape design. Platek provided lighting solutions, including Jan Van Lierde's DOT for interiors and Chiodino, Shield, and Mini Corniche for garden lighting, enhancing both functionality and scenery.

Il design di Pedrali e la natura sarda a Le Dune Piscinas

🏖 Le Dune Piscinas, an exclusive 5-star resort in southwestern Sardinia, showcases the architectural transformation of a former mining warehouse by FVR Engineering and PL-AG Studio. The resort features 28 rooms and suites, three restaurants—one led by Michelin-starred chef Fabio Ciervo—plus a spa, gym, and outdoor pool. Historical elements such as stone flooring, Orosei marble, original wooden beams, and a large fireplace have been preserved. Outdoor furnishings by Pedrali, including Panarea armchairs by CMP Design and Reva Twist sofas and chairs by Patrick Jouin, adorn the American bar I Gechi and the library, which houses local cultural and mining history. Poolside Rail sun loungers and Elliot tables add modern comfort for relaxation with a sea view, all contributing to a refined yet respectful atmosphere blending contemporary elegance with the site’s history and natural surroundings.
