🌍 The World Travel & Tourism Council's Global Summit will be hosted in Rome in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Tourism. This marks the first time in six years the summit will take place in Europe, with the last European host being in 2019. With 82% family-owned, and 68% still inhabited, these sites are predominantly managed at a familial level. 24% of these properties are in rural areas, and 50% are used as accommodations. Events utilize 17%, with 58% for private celebrations and 33% for corporate events. Only 4% host a restaurant or retail space, and 10% are linked to agro-food, with 34% of Italian wineries connected to a historical residence.
