With 82% family-owned, and 68% still inhabited, these sites are predominantly managed at a familial level. 24% of these properties are in rural areas, and 50% are used as accommodations. Events utilize 17%, with 58% for private celebrations and 33% for corporate events. Only 4% host a restaurant or retail space, and 10% are linked to agro-food, with 34% of Italian wineries connected to a historical residence.
