💸 Autogrill, a leader in travel dining and part of Avolta, published its Sustainability Performance Report showcasing sustainability initiatives, impacts, and activities from 2023 to the first 5 months of 2024. CEO Italy F&B of Avolta, Massimiliano Santoro, and Chief Public Affairs & ESG Officer, Camillo Rossotto, emphasized their commitment to integrating sustainability into their business model. The company sold over 4.2 million "responsible" retail products, launched a plant-based Wow Bun, and collaborated with Italia Zuccheri for 100% Italian sugar. Autogrill achieved sustainability certifications for seven buildings and formed partnerships, including one with Treedom, creating a forest that absorbed 247 tonnes of CO2 across seven countries. The company, with 68.6% women among its 7,162 employees, provided over 65,000 hours of training and supported local communities through food donations and the hiring of 10 refugees and 4 Ukrainian women.
