🍪 Gruppo Bauli's sourdough, named Futura, has been officially added to the Sourdough Library at the Sourdough Institute of Puratos in Sankt Vith, Belgium, as announced on December 4 by CEO Fabio Di Giammarco. This recognition highlights over a century of tradition and innovation, preserving the distinctive quality of Bauli's products. Futura, refreshed daily, is the 155th sourdough to join the library, which was founded in 2013. Bauli is an Italian confectionery leader with approximately 1300 employees, 7 production sites, and a portfolio including Bauli, Motta, Doria, and MaxSport brands.

🎓 Zefferino Monini has been named one of the "Capitani del made in Italy 2024" by the CEO Italian Summit & Awards, an event organized by Business International and Forbes Italia. The recognition, in its 10th year, was awarded to Monini for his company's commitment to sustainability, specifically for a decade-long plan to revitalize Italian olive cultivation and oil production. Monini's company has redefined its business model with "A Hand for the Future" in 2020, notably with the creation of Bosco Monini to produce high-quality Italian extra virgin olive oil.

☕ Fisher-Price and Lavazza launch a social campaign "Ci facciamo un caffè?" for Christmas, featuring "la Mia Prima Macchina del Caffè Fisher-Price" and "Lavazza A Modo Mio" espresso machines. The campaign, created with Freeda, will be on air on digital platforms until Christmas. Customers can get discounts on both Fisher-Price and Lavazza products through purchases on the official Lavazza website and Amazon, where bundles are also available. Starting December 8, 2024, an educational event at Museo Lavazza in Turin will include a COFFEE KIDS QUIZ CHRISTMAS EDITION for children up to 12 years old. Lavazza, established in 1895 in Torino, boasts a revenue over €3 billion and operates in 140 markets with a yearly production of over 30 billion Lavazza coffee cups. Mattel, founded in 1945, is a leading global toy company with products available in over 150 countries.

🍾 The Slow Wine Fair will take place from February 23 to 25, 2025, at BolognaFiere, organized by BolognaFiere with artistic direction by Slow Food. It will feature approximately 1,000 exhibiting wineries from Italy and abroad, as well as the 36th edition of SANA, now rebranded as SANA Food. The event will also include the 5th edition of the Fiera dell’Amaro d’Italia, a space dedicated to coffee led by the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, and the presence of cider producers. Around 300 international buyers have registered, and the B2Match platform will support digital matchmaking. The event will coincide with SANA Food, which expects 10,000 visitors from the Food&Beverage sector. Additionally, the Slow Wine Fair will sponsor the "Premio Slow Wine Fair Locale Green dell'Anno" at the Barawards 2024. In 2024, the fair had 1,000 exhibitors, over 500 with organic or biodynamic certification, from 26 countries, and recorded 12,000 visitors, 70% of whom were sector operators.

🍷 Fonzone introduces "Legare 2019," a Taurasi DOCG Riserva, embodying the essence of contemporary Aglianico. Conceived in 2019 alongside consultant enologist Luca D'Attoma and resident enologist Francesco Moriano, Legare matures for 5 years, with phases in both terracotta amphorae and wood. The Aglianico grapes originate from Paternopoli's highest hill on loamy-clay soil. Fonzone Caccese, established in 2005 and located in Paternopoli, cultivates 10 labels focusing on sustainable practices and autochthonous varieties.

Fiasconaro, a renowned pastry chef from Castelbuono-based confectionery company, was recognized for high-profile contributions to arts and industry. His family's company, appreciated in over 70 countries, closed 2023 with a turnover of over 34 million euros and employs 200 workers. The company generates 30% of its revenue internationally, with top markets including the USA, Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany, and Canada. Fiasconaro products are served at prestigious tables worldwide and are known for their traditional panettone and a 7-year collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana.

✈️ easyJet partners with Enilive to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for flights from Milan Malpensa Airport to Oslo and Tromsø during the winter season. Through the Saf Support Program 2024 by Sea, airlines using SAF at Milanese airports receive €800 per ton, totaling €500,000 support. An additional Letter of Intent signed for a potential 30,000 tons of Enilive SAF at other Italian airports. Raminder Shergill, easyJet's director of Tax & Fuel Strategy, emphasizes SAF's role in decarbonization and the aviation industry's net-zero goals.

📊 Only 13% of airlines have a plan for green transition and sustainable fuel use, as per a study by Transport&Environment. Air France-Klm, United Airlines, and Norwegian lead the sustainability efforts among 77 evaluated airlines. In 2023, airlines consumed 2.6 million barrels of alternative fuels, just 0.15% of total sector fuel use, while fossil kerosene usage exceeded 1.6 billion barrels. By 2030, North American airlines are expected to use 2.7% sustainable fuels, surpassing Europe's 1.3%.
