Wizz Air festeggia il successo della Milano Marathon

The event saw a significant increase from the previous edition's 8,545 participants and boasted over 5,500 international athletes from countries like France (25%), the UK (11%), Germany, and Belgium (4%). The marathon is part of the Wizz Run Series, offering competitors a chance at the All You Can Fly membership, reflecting Wizz Air's commitment to sport, accessibility, sustainability, and their strategic base at Milano Malpensa.

🏠 Italy outperforms other countries with a 17% increase in hotel check-ins for Easter 2025 compared to Easter 2024, alongside a 6.23% hike in daily rates from €278 to €296. Average booking lead time in Italy rose from 79.62 days in 2024 to 92.05 days in 2025, a 15.51% increase, exceeding the global average of +9.63%. Average stay duration in Italy also grew by 1.53%, with international guest bookings jumping from 58.53% in 2024 to 76.58% in 2025. Additionally, hotel bookings for the April 25 and May 1 holidays saw a 0.35% uptick in check-ins and a 3.68% rise in average daily rates from €301 to €312.

Accor, a Cortina il debutto italiano di Emblems

🏨 Cortina d’Ampezzo will host Italy’s first Emblems Collection hotel, expected to open by late 2026, under the Accor, Invel Real Estate, and Prodea Investments partnership. The Hotel Bellevue Cortina D’Ampezzo, Emblems Collections, dates back to the late 19th century and will combine alpine charm with contemporary aesthetics post-restyling by Italian architecture firm pconp and interior design by Tihany Design. The luxury hotel will feature 80 rooms, including 27 suites with mountain views, a 500 sqm Spa, and both indoor and outdoor pools. The food & beverage options aim to be a local benchmark, with dishes blended from local and international influences. The project also emphasizes sustainability, incorporating high-efficiency energy solutions in line with Luxury & Lifestyle Sustainability Standards.

Explora IV, un nuovo step a Fincantieri Palermo

Raffles sceglie il Lago di Como per l’esordio in Italia: nel 2027 un resort nell’ex Grand Hotel Imperiale

🏠 Raffles' first hotel in Italy will open in 2027 on the shores of Lake Como in partnership with CL Hotel SPA and supported by UniCredit. The Raffles Lake Como will emerge from the renovated 1920s villa-style Grand Hotel Imperiale in Moltrasio, marking Raffles' fifth establishment in Europe. The luxury resort will feature 84 rooms, including 18 suites and 2 villas, many with lake views. Amenities will include lakeside dining experiences, Raffles Long Bar, Writers Bar, indoor and outdoor pools, a wellness and fitness center, a beach club, and private lake access from check-in.

Marco Bertolini of Visit Norway highlighted the success at the Nordic Workshop in Milan, noting the shift towards lesser-known locations like the southern coastal region of Vestfold and the UNESCO-recognized wooden house valley of Setesdal. Nearly half of the 'Sustainable Destinations' are in the north beyond Bødo and Narvik, with Bødo named European Capital of Culture 2024, attracting visitors to innovations like the Wood Hotel Bødo and silent e-boat fjord tours by Brim Explorer.

🕜 Daylight saving time resumes between Saturday night and Sunday in Italy, clocks will be turned one hour ahead, from 2 am to 3 am, on the night of March 28-29, 2025, lasting until October 25-26, 2025. This measure aims at energy saving by reducing the use of electric lighting, as reported by Genova Today. Despite the European Parliament's vote to end it, Italy chose to maintain the time change, allowing EU member states to decide individually.
