🏞 Tui Musement declares Croatia as the leader in naturalistic tourism, with Plitvice Lakes National Park topping the list with over 2 million searches in the past year. Krka National Park, also in Croatia, ranks second, appreciated for its natural beauty and historical significance. The UK's Peak District, the nation's oldest national park, takes third place. Thingvellir National Park in Iceland and Ojców National Park in Poland complete the top five. 🍞 More than 15% of sandwiches produced in Europe are wasted, with 5 million tons of bread trashed annually, worth €12.5 billion. Consumption habits demanding the freshest bread contribute to this waste. In the U.S., over 500,000 tons of excess bakery products are produced every year. Italy's Regardia, since 1981, has been repurposing these food products for animal feed and bioenergy, with wasted bakery goods containing 8-15% crude protein, 5-10% fat, and over 40% starch.

🍺 Birrificio Contadino Cascina Motta in Sale, Piemonte, since 2019, will make all beers gluten-free by 2025. The brewery emphasizes a "100% farm-to-bottle" model, producing seasonal beers based on nature's rhythms. They use certified organic ingredients and are transitioning to gluten-free using a natural process that maintains the beer's organoleptic complexity. The packaging reflects the farm connection with dialect-named beers and agrestic illustrations. A new IPA-style beer is scheduled for spring 2025.

💰 Gruppo Iren, a major multiutility in North West Italy, partnered with 360Welfare in 2019 to innovate its corporate welfare with "Mensa Diffusa." This service allows Iren employees to choose from a personalized network of affiliated local eateries instead of the traditional company canteen or meal vouchers, enhancing their lunch breaks and supporting the local economy. 360Welfare merged into a 100% Italian company in July 2023, following the fusion of Yes Ticket S.r.l. and BluBe S.r.l., offering customized welfare services. The 360 PAY group, which includes 360Welfare, employs around 600 people, spans 40 companies serving 20,000 clients, and generated over 2 billion euros in turnover in 2024.

💧 On World Water Day, BRITA, a German company specializing in water optimization, launched the "Be a Gamechanger" campaign, encouraging sustainable water use and plastic pollution reduction. BRITA offers quality filtered water solutions for consumers and professionals and has been a reference in the domestic and professional sector for 20 years in Italy. The company has adopted two marine waste collectors at Marina Blue Dolphin in Rome Fiumicino and Venice Certosa Marina, projected to collect about 2 tons of waste annually, including plastics and microplastics. BRITA's carbon footprint is up to 25 times lower with filtered water, aiming to avoid over 6.5 billion single-use water bottles by 2025, reducing its carbon footprint by 1 million tons of CO2. BRITA also supports Whale and Dolphin Conservation since 2016 and promotes an initiative cashback until April 30, 2025, offering a €10 refund on combined purchases of a BRITA filter jug and a 2 or 3 pack of MAXTRA PRO ALL-IN-1 filters. The company reported a total turnover of €691 million in fiscal year 2023 and had 2,314 employees worldwide by the end of 2023, with 1,216 in Germany.

🏫 Ferrarelle Società Benefit, the fourth-largest mineral water company in Italy, continues its partnership as the official water of the FAI Spring Days event, which will be held on March 22-23, 2025, offering access to over 750 extraordinary sites in more than 400 Italian cities. 💪 Coca-Cola partners with Special Olympics for the 2025 Winter World Games starting March 8 in Turin, Sestriere, Bardonecchia, and Pragelato. Over 1,500 athletes from 100 countries will compete in eight sports, with the support of 3,000 volunteers, in front of 300,000 spectators. Coca-Cola, a founding sponsor since 1968, extended its global partnership with Special Olympics until 2031. The Torcia dei Giochi Mondiali Invernali 2025 torch was ignited on February 25 in Athens, symbolizing hope and inclusion. Coca-Cola's Gaglianico (BI) site, a European technological leader in rPET production, celebrated the athletes and volunteers. Coca-Cola volunteers will assist athletes at the PalaTazzoli in Turin and skiing events in Sestriere.
