🚀 Critical situation at Northwest Italy's airports, especially Linate and Malpensa, due to a technical issue affecting ground radars. Most flights are currently grounded, with incoming flights being diverted. The issue, a roughly 30-minute blackout, is expected to be resolved by the evening but may affect operations until the next morning, causing delays on most scheduled flights. Airlines are reprogramming connections.

L’estate di Volotea: trasportati oltre 2,8 milioni di passeggeri in Italia

✈️ Valeria Rebasti, Volotea's international market director, announced a successful summer with over 2.8 million passengers transported in Italy from April to September, up 6% from last year and 5% from 2019. About 18,000 flights were operated on 167 routes, marking increases of 7% and 16% respectively. Seats sold exceeded 3 million, up 7% from 2023 and 8% from 2019. The load factor was approximately 93%. Since the start of the year, the airline transported over 3.1 million passengers in Italy, an 8% increase, and anticipates surpassing 4 million passengers by the end of 2024, a 10% growth from 2023.

💸 Boeing reached an agreement with Bank of America, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan for a $10 billion credit line. Terms require Boeing to pay 0.5% of each advance's nominal amount plus a commission of 0.5% to 1% on outstanding advances. This deal is key to the acquisition of Spirit AeroSystem and to prevent Boeing's financial market decline, which could lead to a junk status ranking and potential Chapter 11.

✈ Ita Airways and Wizz Air have temporarily suspended flights to Tel Aviv due to heightened tensions in the Middle East. Ita Airways' suspension lasts until October 31, following the European Union Aviation Safety Agency's (EASA) recommendations for passenger and crew safety. Wizz Air's suspension extends much longer, until January 14, 2025, offering affected customers full refunds or free rebooking options. Customers who booked through third parties must contact them for refunds or alternative flights.

Barcellona aumenta i costi per i bus turistici
