Crollo di FTI, Youtravel annulla le prenotazioni

💸 Youtravel cancelled all bookings from November 1st due to parent company FTI Touristik's bankruptcy in June, despite FTI receiving €125 million from an investor consortium led by Certares. FTI, the third-largest European tour operator, faced lower-than-expected booking rates and a liquidity crisis after announcing the investment in April 2024. Further updates are promised in the coming weeks.

Treni turistici italiani, il Roma-Assisi prolungato fino a Firenze

🚂 FS Treni Turistici Italiani extends the Rome-Assisi daytime express train to Florence for all Sunday connections until December 1st and to Arezzo for Saturday trips from November 12-30. From Rome Termini to Arezzo, trains depart at 10:05 and arrive at 13:55; return trips depart at 17:04, arriving at 21:35. Rome Termini to Florence trains leave at 8:30, arrive at 13:13; returns at 14:09, reaching destination at 19:10. The train has 6-seat compartments, 4-seat lounges, a bar/restaurant car, and a baggage car. Tickets available at www.fstrenituristici.it and Trenitalia sales channels.

🏨 In Lazio region, the deadline for accommodations to obtain the Regional Identification Code (CIR) has been extended to January 1, 2025. This extension from the original date of October 31, 2024, introduced by the regional government, aims to assist with technical difficulties faced by operators. The Ross1000 Anagrafica Lazio system, active since last July, replaces the previous CISE and is essential for acquiring the National Identification Code (CIN), ensuring transparency and compliance across the region's hospitality industry.

Egitto, inaugurata la Scuola italiana di Ospitalità: formerà professionisti per gli hotel tricolori

🎓 In Hurghada, Egypt, the Italian School of Hospitality was inaugurated by a delegation led by Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Federturismo Confindustria, the Italian Embassy in Egypt, PickAlbatros Holding, and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, aims to create highly qualified professionals with two specializations in Food & Beverage and guest experience management. The program includes 100 students and over 600 hours of theoretical and practical training. The project serves the local and international tourism sectors, focusing on managerial skills, operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, and compliance with regulations, and promotes Italian-Egyptian cooperation in sustainable development.
