Ridotte le accise per i birrifici artigianali: il commento di AssoBirra

  • Tony Loeb
  • 18 Dicembre 2024
🍺 Starting in 2025, craft breweries in Italy with annual production under 10,000 hectoliters will see a 50% excise tax reduction; those producing between 10,000 and 30,000 hectoliters will get a 30% cut, and up to 60,000 hectoliters, a 20% reduction. This follows similar trends in 2022 and 2023. Alfredo Pratolongo, President of AssoBirra, urges a wider tax reform to stimulate the entire sector, including large breweries which largely purchase Italian barley malt. AssoBirra, since 1907, represents over 40 members, covering 92% of Italy's beer production and 72% of the beer market, supporting around 103,000 jobs.

Polizze eventi catastrofali, Borghini e Cossa alle imprese: “Aspettate”

  • Tony Loeb
  • 17 Dicembre 2024
📌 The mandatory requirement for companies to have insurance coverage against catastrophic climate events in Italy was initially set for 31/12/2024, but has been postponed to 31/3/2025 as per the Milleproroghe decree. Matteo Maria Rossi from Borghini e Cossa, in association with the Consorzio brokers italiani, recommends businesses wait for clear regulations before considering market proposals, emphasizing the importance of professional advice for long-term interest protection. Existing policies for catastrophic events need not be immediately replaced or modified, allowing compliance at the next renewal or opportune moment.

  • Tony Loeb
  • 16 Dicembre 2024
☕ Andrej Godina, coffee expert and PhD in coffee industry science, technology, and economics, reacts to a Report episode on Rai 3, aired on December 15, highlighting the lack of training among Italian bar staff. Millions of coffee cups are served daily by untrained personnel, leading to poor quality caffeinated drinks often masked with sugar or milk. The episode showcased a Trieste café, Caffè degli Specchi, where the bar owner was unaware of the actual coffee blend served. Godina emphasizes the importance of proper equipment maintenance, barista training, and consumer education to justify coffee price increases, following the rise in raw coffee costs.
