Bookings peaked in September (34%) and October (27%) with over 100-day anticipation, last-minute bookings at 11%. Agencies relied on tour operators (84%), bed banks, and low-cost flights (over 40%), especially in the South. Christmas sales account for up to 10% of total revenue for 40% of agencies and up to 20% for another 20%.

For direct bookings to compete, hotels must significantly increase funding in these areas, exceeding the average 7.7% revenue investment in marketing by other sectors.
