📍 From the start of 2024, Jamaica's tourism sector welcomed approximately 3 million visitors, earning around $3 billion. Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett highlighted these figures during Tourism Awareness Week 2024. The island recorded 4.29 million visitors and revenues of $4.38 billion in 2023. Despite challenges like US travel advisories and Hurricane Beryl, current figures slightly outpace last year's, keeping on track for the 2025 goal of 5 million visitors and $5 billion in earnings.

📈 Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy have grown from generating €280 million in 2016 to €438 million in 2023, attracting 2.4 million customers, 40.7% being international from 43 countries. Lombardy benefits the most, followed by Campania and Piedmont. Provincially, Naples leads, then Rome and Milan. A single 1-star Michelin restaurant generates about €805,000, a 2-star €2.4 million, and a 3-star exceeds €6.5 million per territory. The 2024 forecast estimates nearly €500 million (€498 million) in indirect revenue.

💸 In August, Demoskopika reported a monthly increase in tourism inflation of 1.0% and an annual increase of 4.6%, up from 4.1% the previous month. Vacation package prices rose from 19.5% to 23.2%, and hospitality and restaurant services saw a slight increase from 4.3% to 4.4%. Transportation services rebounded from a -2.2% decrease to a 0.4% increase, while recreational and cultural services remained stable at 3.8%. A significant monthly rise in transportation services hit 7.8%, with maritime transport surging 33.8% and passenger air travel 16.3%. The inflation differential between the general consumer price index (Nic) and the tourism index (Nict) grew to 3.5 percentage points, from 2.9 in July 2024. Tourism inflation for 2024 is projected at 4.9%. The highest regional tourism inflation rates were in Abruzzo and Liguria (both 6.5%), followed by Valle d'Aosta (5.8%), Puglia (5.6%), and Trentino Alto Adige (5.3%). Spencer & Carter: presenza sempre più capillare sul territorio italiano

Massimiliano Masaracchia, the commercial director, announced the positive results before attending TTG Travel Experience 2024 in Rimini. The company expanded its workforce in the Triveneto, Piedmont, and Liguria regions, and strengthened its presence in Lombardy, Tuscany, Puglia, and Sicily, leading to a 59% increase in activated codes with travel agencies and tour operators year-over-year. 🌉 Italy's Passalacqua on Lake Como secured the second-place title at the World’s 50 Best Hotels Awards in London, also named Best Hotel in Europe, and received the Carlo Alberto Best Boutique Hotel Award. Capella Bangkok in Thailand took the top spot, with Bangkok hosting four of the top fifty hotels. The awards featured hotels from 37 different destinations. Three additional Italian hotels made the list: Four Seasons Florence (19th), Borgo Santandrea in Amalfi (20th), and Umbria's Castello di Reschio (42nd). Europe garnered 13 nominations, with Italy, France, and the UK each having four properties featured.
