💸 In 2024, VOIhotels hit a new reservation record with BeSafe Rate, reaching 97% of total prepaid bookings from their direct website for VOIhotels and 70% for VRetreats. Year-over-year growth for VRetreats was 190%. BeSafe Rate accounted for 40% of total direct bookings for VOIhotels and 25% for VRetreats. The group has 26 properties across Sardinia, Sicily, Puglia, and Calabria, offering BeSafe Summer, BeSafe Winter, and BeSafe Rate Plus. The adoption of BeSafe Rate has increased prepaid bookings and reduced refund requests.

Tuscany leads with 45.5% of the US high-end Italian red market, with Brunello di Montalcino alone accounting for 32%. Bolgheri (11.5%) and Chianti Classico (2%) follow, while Barolo (16%) holds second place, and Barbaresco (4%) trails behind Bolgheri Superiore (7%).

The study reveals that European airports and connectivity support 14 million jobs and generate €851 billion in GDP annually. Globaldata: calano dell’11% le transazioni nel travel

📌 GlobalData reports an 11% year-on-year decrease in global travel activity in the first three quarters of 2024, with 519 total transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, and venture financing, compared to 583 in the same period of 2023. M&A transactions fell by 6.8%, and venture financing deals by 25.2%. North America, Asia-Pacific, and South and Central America saw transaction volume decreases of 36%, 7.7%, and 20%, respectively. Europe improved by 10.3%, while the Middle East and African region remained stable. The USA, China, and France experienced respective declines of 36.3%, 38.5%, and 42.9%, while India and Japan saw increases of 24.3% and 38.1%. Transaction volumes in the UK, South Korea, and Australia remained mostly unchanged.
