Fipe: Vacanze di Natale decisive per recuperare le presenze turistiche
📆 In the summer of 2024, Italy saw a 1.4% decrease in tourist presence compared to the previous year, totaling around 2.9 million fewer visitors. Domestic tourism dropped by 5.5%, not reaching pre-pandemic levels with 9.3 million fewer Italian tourists (a 8.7% decrease from summer 2019). International visitors, however, increased by 8.6 million (8.8% up from 2019), accounting for 52.3% of the total presence, surpassing Italian tourists (47.7%) for the first time. The Istat data for Q3 2024 shows 97.8 million Italian and 107.1 million foreign presences, summing up to 204.9 million.
