🍴 The "US IS US" project by the Cerea family of the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Da Vittorio aims to blend diverse culinary identities in the US. Kicking off in Brusaporto, chef Victoria Blamey of Blanca from New York, who opened her restaurant in January 2024 and quickly reached second place among the New York Times critic Pete Wells’ favorite 100 spots, brings her bold cuisine to reinterpret Da Vittorio’s classics. Future stops include Miami and Los Angeles. The Da Vittorio Group, with a history of over 55 years and multiple Michelin-starred locations, embraces tradition and creative genius.

📆 BolognaFiere will host the 21st edition of Marca on January 15-16, 2025, in Bologna, Italy. Probios, a Tuscan company with over 45 years of experience, will be at Pavilion 25, Stand B102, showcasing their organic and health food products. The event, organized in collaboration with ADM, is a key networking opportunity for GDO representatives and industry professionals. Probios will present a varied product range, including nickel-free tomato products, over 490 gluten-free products, and a new keto-friendly line. They will also feature the newly acquired brand ViviBio, targeting GDO markets with high-quality organic products. Probios, established in 1978 and based in Calenzano, operates in 47 countries and has recently acquired 100% of Biotobio.

☕ From January 18-22, 2025, SIGEP World in Rimini will host the Italian Barista Championships, organized by Specialty Coffee Association Italy (SCA Italy). Contenders will compete across seven categories: Barista, Latte Art, Brewers Cup, Coffee in Good Spirits, Cezve/Ibrik, Roasting, and Cup Tasters. Winners will represent Italy in the World Coffee Events championships. The event includes educational talks and sessions, with an array of competitors listed for each category.

✈️ Cathay Pacific resumes direct flights between Hong Kong and Rome Fiumicino from June 5, 2025. The seasonal summer service will run thrice weekly, adding to the five weekly flights from Milan Malpensa, which will increase to daily from March 30, 2025. Coinciding with Rome's 2025 Jubilee year, Cathay Pacific's return marks nearly 40 years since its first direct flights in 1986. The flights will use the Airbus A350-900. Six new cities, including Hyderabad in March, Dallas in April, Munich in June, and Brussels in August, will join Cathay Pacific's network by 2025, along with HK Express launching flights to Sendai in January, targeting 100 global destinations by 2025.

🚂 From January 24-26, 2025, the 'Treno delle terme' connects Milan to Abano Terme. Organized by FS Treni Turistici Italiani, Fondazione FS, and Duegi Editrice, train enthusiasts can purchase dedicated tourist packages. Events include station tours, photo exhibitions, model train displays, and swap meets. Accommodation packages are available for wellness center experiences. The train departs Milan on January 24 at 14:25.
