🎭 AGEVITY's second edition, a national event focused on leveraging longevity for Italy's social and economic development, will take place in Milan on September 24-25, 2024. Originating from the Silver Economy Network project, the first edition occurred on October 3, 2023, at Palazzo Mezzanotte with over 500 stakeholders, including high-level institutions like the Ministry of Health and the Bank of Italy. 🚢 Uniworld Boutique River Cruises celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026 with a 50-night itinerary called "Rivers of the World". The journey starts in Brussels on April 16, 2026, aboard the new ship Emile, inspired by Gustav Klimt. The cruise features a mystery 7-night leg to new destinations and includes travels through Europe and Egypt, with stops in Paris, Normandy, Lyon, the Mediterranean, and concludes with a Nile segment in Egypt and a stop in Jordan.

🍕 The third edition of 'Impiatto Forte,' a social media cooking contest hosted by Vicolungo The Style Outlets, started on their Instagram channel featuring chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo. This year, until August 23, three participants will share their culinary creations on Instagram to celebrate the outlet's 20th anniversary. A jury will select three finalists to compete in a live show on September 12 at 17:00. The winner receives a cooking course at Villa Crespi, a three-Michelin-starred restaurant, a gourmet set, and a trophy.

🛏 In Tokyo, the Nine Hours capsule hotel near JR Shinagawa station offers a unique Japanese experience coupled with a sleep analysis service, 9h Sleep Fitscan, starting from August 9. The analysis uses infrared cameras, microphones, and body, brainwave, and core temperature motion sensors, providing a detailed sleep quality report for consenting guests. Capsule hotels, once a sleeping solution for late-working commuters, are now a tourist fascination.

🚰 Swadeshi Hotels enters the student housing market with a dedicated brand and a 30 million euro investment. By the end of 2024, three ‘eco-friendly’ addresses in Campania, Lombardia, and Veneto will begin development, with contracted acquisitions. Opening for students in March 2026, the capacity will be around 900 beds. Nicola Ciccarelli, president of Swadeshi, aims to create innovative, disability-friendly, green-constructed English-style campuses for international students, offering high-speed internet, advanced security, and a range of amenities for study, fitness, and outdoor relaxation.

✈ Wizz Air will launch new flights from Italy to Egypt in October, with two routes from Rome Fiumicino to Marsa Alam and from Catania to Sharm el Sheikh. Flights from Rome will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday starting October 29, the same date for flights from Catania, which will depart every Tuesday and Saturday. Additionally, Wizz Air announced three new international routes from Salerno-Costa d’Amalfi Airport and one from Naples Capodichino. Flights from Salerno to Budapest, Tirana, and Bucharest begin October 28 and from Naples to Sharm el Sheikh on October 29.

🌍 Holland America Line announces special eclipse cruises across Europe. Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer, highlights the success of 2024 eclipse cruises leading to the new series. Guests can engage with experts and enjoy themed activities. Three ships—Oosterdam, Nieuw Statendam, and Zuiderdam—will position for the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, along the coasts of eastern Spain and western Iceland, and during the Voyage of the Vikings.
