World2Fly lancia 3 nuove rotte lungo raggio dall’Europa

🇩🇴 World2Fly to launch three new long-haul routes from Europe, connecting Madrid and Lisbon to La Romana in the Dominican Republic, Mauritius, and Montego Bay in Jamaica starting in 2025. Flights to the Dominican Republic will operate from June to October, on Saturdays from Madrid and Fridays from Lisbon. Mauritius flights will be available from June to September every Tuesday, while connections to Jamaica will depart Lisbon every Wednesday during the summer. These routes add to World2Fly's existing destinations such as Cancún, Havana, Punta Cana, and Santo Domingo.

👥 Ezio Indiani, GM of Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, confirmed as National Delegate of EHMA for another three years, marking his sixth term alongside deputy Damiano De Crescenzo, General Manager of Planetaria Hotels. Indiani has led the Italian Chapter since 2010, fostering significant growth and initiatives such as the European certification for hotel directors and the "Mentor me" project. EHMA, with over 470 members from 24 European countries, represents about 400 hotels, 86,000 rooms, and 66,000 employees. The Italian Delegation is the largest with 117 members. ????

Uvet/Centro studi Promotor: anche ad ottobre si registra un andamento positivo per il business travel

📈 Uvet Group and Promotor Study Center report positive trends in Italy's business travel in October, with the Business Travel Trend (Btt) index at 101 and annual progressive value at 97. Transactions increased slightly to 84 (+1 from September), with the hotel sector up 3 points in value and 6 in bookings. Car rentals surged to an index of 152, up 8 points. However, the rail sector declined by 5 points, and intercontinental flights dropped to 99 from 105. The Btt index compares current data to a baseline of 100 from 2019. ????

🏠 eDreams ODIGEO's 2024 report highlights travel trends for 2024 and 2025. Europeans favor their own continent for 2025 trips, while America and Asia also rank in the top 10 searches. Paris, with a 62% booking increase in 2024 thanks to the Olympics, and Tokyo, hosting the 2025 World Athletics Championships with a 135% search increase, lead the destinations. For 2024, 64% of Italian travelers chose international short to medium-haul flights, 23% domestic flights, and 13% intercontinental. Rome, influenced by the Jubilee, saw a 16% year-on-year search increase and is 4th in 2025 bookings. In 2024, French, Spanish, and German tourists dominated Italian vacation bookings with 25%, 21%, and 18% respectively. Social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest significantly influenced destination choices. Music tourism also impacted global economies, with events like Oasis' reunion spiking Manchester searches by 700%.

Car Trawler/IATA: incremento dei ricavi ancillary per le compagnie aeree ma non in modo uguale

✈ In 2023, airlines' ancillary revenues shattered the 2019 record with $117.9 billion, compared to $109.5 billion. Projections for 2024 by CarTrawler suggest a jump to $148.4 billion, accounting for 14.9% of airline revenues. Individual carriers see ancillary revenue ranging from 2% to 56.4%. The IATA forecasts a 9.7% rise in carrier revenues to $996 billion in 2024, while CarTrawler estimates a nearly 20% increase in ancillary revenues. Yet, only 45% of tickets issued are without ancillary services, indicating over half of travelers purchase extras.

Ehma, sesto mandato per Ezio Indiani alla guida del Chapter italiano

🏦 Ezio A. Indiani, general manager of Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, reappointed as national delegate of the Italian Chapter of Ehma, uniting over 470 members from 24 European countries, 400 hotels, 86,000 rooms, and 66,000 employees. Indiani, on his sixth term, will lead for the next three years, confirmed during the autumn meeting at Borgo Egnazia. Deputy Damiano De Crescenzo, general manager of Planetaria Hotels, also reconfirmed. Indiani has received multiple awards, including the 2002 Hermes Award for best hotel manager worldwide and the 2009 Excellent Award for international hotel management. Knighted by the President of the Republic, he's led the Hotel Principe di Savoia since July 2005. The Italian Chapter of Ehma has the most members with 117.
