  • Tony Loeb
  • 25 Marzo 2025
✈ At the Brussels Aviation Summit, CEOs of Ryanair, IAG, Lufthansa, and Air France-KLM criticized the EU's ReFuel legislation for failing to ensure market conditions for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). A report by Boston Consulting Group forecasts up to a 45% SAF supply shortage and 30% biofuel shortage by 2030. Airlines are mandated to use a 2% SAF quota by 2025, rising to 6% by 2030, aiming for 70% by 2050. Assicurazione contro le calamità: in arrivo la proroga

  • Tony Loeb
  • 25 Marzo 2025
🛑 Italian trade, artisan, and SME associations recently protested, prompting the government's council today to consider extending the deadline for mandatory natural disaster insurance policies to June 30. Initially, an amendment for a seven-month postponement was deemed inadmissible. Without clear criteria and benchmarks for policy definition, companies cannot make informed choices. This obligation affects over 90% of Italy's 4.5 million businesses, including bars, restaurants, and small hotels. Non-compliance risks exclusion from investment incentives. Confcommercio calls for a longer extension, noting the regulation was only issued on February 27 and the Ivass portal for insurance comparison is not yet active.
