Sara Abdel Masih now serves as a Board Member of Diomede srl, continuing to supervise Maison Senato's operations and strategy.

💸 Flix announces three new promotions in Europe South, all based in Milan. Enkeleda Tushe, with experience in banking and air transport, leads finance, controlling, and accounting for Italy since 2015 and for Romania and Bulgaria since 2021, now promoted to Director Finance Eu South. Sara Venditti, promoted to Senior Expert PR Eu South, managed Italy's communication since 2018 and expanded her role to Romania and Bulgaria in 2021. Filippo Monopoli, joining Flix in 2015 and leading Legal in Italy since 2019, now Senior Expert Legal Counsel Eu South, also covering Spain and Portugal from 2023. The promotions extend their responsibilities across the Balkans including Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Greece, following Andrea Incondi's promotion to Vice President Europe South months prior, affirming Milan as a strategic hub for Flix's decision-making.

✈ Air Baltic, in its growth phase, reported a significant financial loss of 118 million euros for 2024, a stark contrast to the 38 million euros in profit in 2023. The Latvian government, holding 98% of the company's shares, ousted CEO Martin Gauss, who had led the company since 2011. 💰 In 2025, city tax revenues in Italy are expected to rise by +15.8% to €1.186 billion, spanning 1,389 municipalities. In 2024, collections reached €1.024 billion, a +29.1% increase over 2023's €793.5 million. Lazio led in 2024 with over €300 million, a significant jump from €189 million in 2023. Tuscany followed with €121 million, up from €107 million the previous year. Lombardy also saw growth, with €114 million in 2024 compared to €93 million in 2023. Rome alone generated €292 million, marking a +61.2% increase. Florence and Milan saw revenues of over €76.5 million, up by +9.9% and +23.2% respectively. Rimini was the top beach destination, netting around €14 million, a +30.5% increase. Sorrento and Jesolo followed with €9.2 million (+31.6%) and €5.7 million (−1.4%). In thermal towns, Abano Terme led with over €3.7 million (+22.1%), followed by Merano with €3.2 million (+37.2%), and Ischia with more than €2.2 million (+12.4%). 🏨 HotelPartner, headquartered in Switzerland, undergoes management restructuring effective from 1 March 2025. Rainer M. 🏡 Mandarin Oriental expands its Paris presence, managing Hôtel Lutetia as Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris—the only Palace hotel on the Rive Gauche. Laurent Kleitman, Group Chief Executive, celebrates the addition and the historic legacy of Rive Gauche. Founded in 1910 by the Boucicaut family, Hôtel Lutetia symbolizes Parisian elegance and culture, hosting icons like Picasso and Matisse. 🏡 Mama Shelter's new hotel in Toulon is set to open at the end of 2027. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Ennismore during a ceremony with Toulon's mayor, Jeremie Trigano, Mama Shelter's founder, and Cedric Gobilliard, brand COO. Located in Cours Lafayette, the hotel will occupy the historic Ancien Évêché de Toulon building, offering 100 rooms over five floors, including family accommodations ranging from 21 to 32 square meters and some with private terraces. The venue will feature a restaurant and bar with over 150 seats, a terrace accessible to the public, and two high-tech meeting/event rooms. Mama Shelter Toulon aims to bring new energy to the city and integrate with the local community, embracing Toulon's rich history and coastal charm. After recent openings in Nice and Dubai, future locations include Lake Como, Casablanca, Cape Town, and Amsterdam.

🏦 Andrea Mancini appointed as Lead Director, Italy Hotels Transactions, Emea Hotels & Hospitality Capital Markets at JLL. Mancini previously served as Director at CBRE and worked at Colliers International, focusing on residential investments and hotel and leisure sector. William Duffey of JLL highlighted Italy's dynamic capital markets with transactions amounting to $2.12 billion last year, involving high-profile deals like Club Med Kamarina and Grand Imperiale Forte dei Marmi. Tourist flows in Italy have reached 98% of pre-pandemic levels, with 129 million visitors. Mancini will operate from Milan, coordinating with the London team led by Jurrian Dompeling to expand JLL's market presence in Italy.
