Consorzio Finale Outdoor Region e Repower: una rete di eccellenza per il cicloturismo

🚲 DINAclub, created by Repower and Consorzio Finale Outdoor Region, is a luxury cycling tourism network for hotels. Cyclotourism, driven by e-bikes, increased turnover to over €5.5 billion in 2023. The average cyclist spends around €95 daily, rising above €100 for foreign visitors. Over 200 Italian hotels have joined DINAclub, offering services like secure bike storage and charging stations for up to 7 bikes. Komoot app integration provides visibility to 40 million users, promoting hotels as cycling stops. DINAclub also features QR code-equipped bike racks for accessing offline maps and gamification elements.

L'OI Pomodoro da Industria Nord Italia avvia il progetto Tomato Water

🌾 Organizzazione Interprofessionale OI Pomodoro da Industria Nord Italia launched the Tomato Water project, valued at 400,000 euros, 90% funded (360,000 euros) by PSR Emilia-Romagna 2023 - COPSR 2023-2027. The three-year initiative aims to optimize water use in tomato cultivation in Piacenza, Parma, and Ferrara, preventing shortages. On November 13, a partnership of 23 stakeholders was established, including producers, universities, and research entities, to manage water resources efficiently amidst climate change challenges.

Futura, refreshed daily, is the 155th sourdough to join the library, which was founded in 2013. Slow Wine Fair 2025: a BolognaFiere sostenibilità ed eccellenza del settore enologico

🍾 The Slow Wine Fair will take place from February 23 to 25, 2025, at BolognaFiere, organized by BolognaFiere with artistic direction by Slow Food. It will feature approximately 1,000 exhibiting wineries from Italy and abroad, as well as the 36th edition of SANA, now rebranded as SANA Food. The event will also include the 5th edition of the Fiera dell’Amaro d’Italia, a space dedicated to coffee led by the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, and the presence of cider producers. Around 300 international buyers have registered, and the B2Match platform will support digital matchmaking. The event will coincide with SANA Food, which expects 10,000 visitors from the Food&Beverage sector. Additionally, the Slow Wine Fair will sponsor the "Premio Slow Wine Fair Locale Green dell'Anno" at the Barawards 2024. In 2024, the fair had 1,000 exhibitors, over 500 with organic or biodynamic certification, from 26 countries, and recorded 12,000 visitors, 70% of whom were sector operators.

📊 Only 13% of airlines have a plan for green transition and sustainable fuel use, as per a study by Transport&Environment. Air France-Klm, United Airlines, and Norwegian lead the sustainability efforts among 77 evaluated airlines. In 2023, airlines consumed 2.6 million barrels of alternative fuels, just 0.15% of total sector fuel use, while fossil kerosene usage exceeded 1.6 billion barrels. By 2030, North American airlines are expected to use 2.7% sustainable fuels, surpassing Europe's 1.3%.
