Bolton e Banco Alimentare insieme contro lo spreco alimentare

📦 Bolton's Business Unit Food collaborates with Banco Alimentare since 2011 to reduce food waste and provide easy access to proteins for those in need. Despite a drop in food price inflation to +2.2% in 2024, over 2.2 million families, 5.7 million individuals, and 1.3 million minors live in absolute poverty in Italy. Bolton donated surplus production from brands Rio Mare and Simmenthal to Banco Alimentare's locations in Lazio and Lombardy, reaching 61,474 beneficiaries through 281 partners and 158,991 beneficiaries via 887 charitable facilities, saving over 27 million grams of protein in 2024. Bolton Food leads the market with integrated tuna supply chain management, 10 production plants, and 11 fishing vessels, aiming for global leadership by promoting sustainable fishing practices and supporting local communities.

🏖 Un Tourism's "Best Tourism Villages" 2025 initiative promotes rural tourism for sustainable development and inclusion, with over 800 applications from 100+ countries in previous editions. The network now includes 254 members: 180+ villages recognized as Best Tourism Villages and 70 in the Upgrade Programme, spanning nearly 60 countries across five regions. Applications close on May 19, 2025, with winners announced in Q3 at a UN tourism event. Submissions are judged on cultural/natural resources, conservation, sustainability, governance, infrastructure, and safety.
