Gruppo Grimaldi: maxi ordine di nove nuove navi ro-pax

🚢 Grimaldi Group ordered nine new ro-pax ships from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard, totaling $1.3 billion, for Mediterranean and Baltic sea routes, all powered by methanol-capable engines. Four ships with Italian flag to operate under Grimaldi Lines, two Greek-flagged by Minoan Lines; remaining three for Finnlines with Finnish flag for Baltic Sea routes. Delivery between 2028-2030. Mediterranean ships: 300+ cars, 2,500 passengers, 300 cabins, 1,200+ beds, 700 reclining seats. Baltic ships: 90 cars, 1,100 passengers in 320 cabins, tailored for longer Finland-Germany crossing. Aims at zero net emissions.

🏠 Italy outperforms other countries with a 17% increase in hotel check-ins for Easter 2025 compared to Easter 2024, alongside a 6.23% hike in daily rates from €278 to €296. Average booking lead time in Italy rose from 79.62 days in 2024 to 92.05 days in 2025, a 15.51% increase, exceeding the global average of +9.63%. Average stay duration in Italy also grew by 1.53%, with international guest bookings jumping from 58.53% in 2024 to 76.58% in 2025. Additionally, hotel bookings for the April 25 and May 1 holidays saw a 0.35% uptick in check-ins and a 3.68% rise in average daily rates from €301 to €312.

La Cantina Pizzolato porta le novità a Vinitaly 2025

🍷 Cantina Pizzolato, established in Treviso, Veneto, unveiled the PIWI line and Italy’s first facility for de-alcoholizing organic wines at Vinitaly 2025 in Hall 5 – Stand B2. PIWI, German for 'fungus-resistant,' reduces environmental impact with fewer treatments. The Veneto region has 680 hectares of PIWI vineyards; Pizzolato's 16 hectares produce over 50,000 bottles annually. On April 6 at 15:00, artist Silvia Tosi will perform live painting at Pizzolato's stand. The NoLo Italian Hub Srl supports the de-alcoholization project, using vacuum distillation, approved by EU Regulation 2025/405. The no-low alcohol market is forecasted to grow 7.5% annually, reaching over $30 billion by 2030 (IWSR).

Ilatium Morini si racconta a Vinitaly 2025

🍷 Ilatium Morini to feature at the 57th Vinitaly edition, April 6-9, 2025, in Verona, expecting over 125,000 visitors and 33,000 foreign buyers. Showcasing their new Garganega Spumante Brut Biologico and “Sette su Sette” Metodo Classico Extra Brut, the winery offers an immersive experience with a completely renovated stand (Pad. 4 – E7). Over 60 years of tradition meets sustainable vision, with Ilatium Morini managing 45 hectares of vineyards, producing approximately 250,000 bottles annually, including a limited edition Extra Brut with over 70 months of bottle aging (around 3,700 bottles). Focused on environmental respect, the winery began organic certification in 2023, with their range including Valpolicella DOC, Soave DOC, and more, supported by renewable energy since 2008.
