Lay’s lancia la nuova linea di patatine ondulate “ Lay’s MAX”

🍪 Lay’s, famous potato chip brand and official UEFA Champions League partner, also sponsoring FIFA World Cup 26TM and FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027TM, launches the new Lay’s MAX line of ridged chips. Available flavors include classic, cheese, and barbecue, with recommended prices of €1.85 for the 115g packs and €0.99 for the 37g pack of Lay’s MAX Double Crunch BBQ. Lay’s MAX Classic and Cheese have been on the market since June, with MAX Double Crunch BBQ also available nationally.

🛡 Italy updated its short-term rental laws in 2024 to increase transparency and combat illicit practices. From September 1, 2024, a National Identification Code (CIN) is mandatory for rentals under 30 days and must be displayed in ads and on-site. Multi-property managers (more than four properties) must register for VAT and submit a SCIA. Non-compliance can result in fines up to €8,000. A 26% flat tax rate applies after four rentals annually or with additional services; a reduced rate of 21% is available for single-property rentals. Technological tools like Ok Home and self check-in are simplifying property management.

🍦 Casa Optima Group, an Italian owner of eight popular gelato and high-quality pastry brands, partnered with Fondazione Nuovo Villaggio del Fanciullo in Ravenna to hold a basic gelato course led by Cristina Ricci from Casa Optima School. Participants learned about artisanal gelato making, from theory to individual practice, producing flavors like hazelnut, pistachio, coffee, chocolate, tiramisu, chantilly cream, and innovative ones like amarena crunch, cookies, popcorn, and honey-based gelato from the foundation. The course aimed to provide a job-ready skill for the attendees' future.

🍸 In Argentina, the Fernandito cocktail, made simple with Fernet Branca (50 ml), Coca Cola, and ice, became an IBA-recognized drink in the New Era Drinks category in 2020. Originating from the 1960s-70s at Bar Premier, it was popularized by singer Cruz Alejandro. Fernet, introduced by Italian immigrants in the late 19th century, is the third most consumed alcoholic drink in Argentina. In 2019, Fernet Branca's Buenos Aires facility produced 25 million liters.

🍕 At Blu Ristorante in Torregaveta, with a 4th-generation restaurateur family legacy, Antonio Schiano Lomoriello oversees a culinary tradition dating back to post-WWII. The restaurant evolved from "Addè Figliole" to "Al pontile" in the 70s, to "Villa Aragonese" in the early 90s, and, after a hiatus, reopened in 2021 as Blu. Featuring local seafood, chefs Alessio Aversano and Antonio Scotto prioritize quality and seasonality. With 60 seats indoors and outdoors, sommelier Fabio Gallotti curates a regional wine list. Open Monday-Saturday for lunch and dinner, and Sundays for lunch only.

Mezcal grew 22.7% from 2018 to 2023. Los Siete Misterios, founded in 2010 by Eduardo and Julio Mestre, entered Velier's catalog in September 2024. They support local microeconomies and work with mezcaleros for sustainable practices. Los Siete Misterios was voted the trendiest mezcal of 2024 by Drinks International.
