L’inverno Ryanair: focus su Mxp e scali con costi minori

  • Tony Loeb
  • 17 Settembre 2024
✈ Ryanair's strategy for winter 2024 is influenced by the growth of Trieste and Reggio Calabria airports, due to the elimination of the municipal surcharge. The airports saw a 50% annual increase. Ryanair's CEO, Michael O’Leary, announced an 800 million euro investment plan for Malpensa. Ten new routes are planned from Malpensa, with the addition of an eighth aircraft, increasing passenger traffic by 10% to 4.5 million. Milan Bergamo will decrease from 24 to 20 aircraft, losing 5% of 20 million seats. From Malpensa, new destinations include Athens, Budapest, Paris, Fuerteventura, Krakow, Mallorca, Marrakech, Reggio Calabria, Rzeszow, and Tallinn. Trieste and Reggio will offer 20 new routes with three based aircraft. Despite 9% lower fares and a 21% increase in Air Traffic Control costs, 2024 in Italy will see over 10 billion euros in investments and more than 60 million passengers (+46%), out of 200 million in Europe (+35% since 2019).
