Crescita solida per l'industria alimentare italiana: export in aumento nel 2024
🍝 The Italian food sector's export from January to October 2024 reached €47.411,5 million, marking a +9.0% growth over the same period in 2023, according to Centro Studi di Federalimentare's analysis of Istat statistics. Over the last five years (2019-2024), food export increased by +56.3%, outpacing the country's total export growth of +28.3%. The sector's export share rose from 7.8% in 2019 to 9.2% in 2024. The U.S. market showed a significant increase of +18.4%. Other notable market growths include Poland (+18.7%), Canada (+16.6%), Japan (+12.5%), and Australia (+15.4%). The strongest sub-sector performances were "oils and fats" (+28.0%), "confectionery" (+16.6%), and "fish processing" (+16.2%). The primary sector (agriculture-livestock) achieved export earnings of €9.166,4 million, contributing to a total agri-food export of €56.577,8 million, heading towards a record high of nearly €70 billion.
