Antico Forno della Romagna acquisisce Grano Vivo

🍞 Antico Forno della Romagna (AFR), an Italian leader in frozen bakery products, acquired 100% of Grano Vivo, specializing in long-life frozen bakery items. The acquisition, supported by Orienta Partners and Fondo Agroalimentare Italiano I, enhances AFR's long-life product range and sandwich bread sector presence. Ignazio and Marta Omodeo Zorini of Grano Vivo will continue collaborating with AFR. AFR aims to reach a €40 million turnover by 2024, focusing on innovation and quality, with expansion plans including increased production capacity and talent development.

🏡 The Grand Hotel Imperiale in Forte dei Marmi, a luxury 5-star property with around 45 rooms, was sold by Luxury Hotel Development to Emaar Properties, a leading global real estate company known for the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. The deal was valued at €40 million and includes Remo beach. Mohamed Ali Alabbar, a prominent UAE businessman, is behind the acquisition. Minor modifications are planned before a more radical overhaul of the suites.

The US, constituting 17.7%, is the second-largest market for Christmas 2024 holiday searches in Italy, followed by the UK at 9.5%. Hotel search data places Americans at the top with 33.8% share, and Italians at 19.1%. Rome leads in flight booking preferences at 32.8%, with Milan (27.4%) and Venice (6.7%) following. Sicily, with Catania at 5.6%, benefits from a tourism boost. For hotel choices at Christmas, Rome garners 48.4%, ahead of Milan, Florence, and Venice. In a broader European and Middle Eastern context, London, Dubai, and Paris are the top city destinations, with Milan and Rome at tenth and eleventh.

MyCIA ha acquisito Dishcovery

Dishcovery, founded in 2018 in Modena by Marco Simonini and Giuliano Vita, boasts a portfolio of 800 clients and has seen rapid expansion, especially during the pandemic with contactless solutions. The acquisition's value is undisclosed, but it unites two Italian tech companies, boosting their market role and expanding their customer base to over 3,000, including top restaurants and bars in Italy, with over 30 million platform uses. MyCIA's food identity card service has been used by 190,000 users, reflecting the inclusive dining trend that half of Italians prioritize. MyCIA, founded in 2018, has partnered with major groups such as Barilla and Campari, receiving accolades and funding while growing both in Italy and internationally.
