🏨 HNH Hospitality fa doppietta a Verona: ha acquisito lo storico Hotel Leon d’Oro, un quattro stelle con 190 camere, con PGIM Real Estate e Dekus. Il CEO, Luca Boccato, annuncia che riaprirà come DoubleTree by Hilton dopo una completa ristrutturazione per migliorare le aree comuni e le camere, focus ESG. HNH sarà azionista di minoranza, gestore e locatario. L'hotel è situato strategicamente vicino al centro storico e all’Arena.

🏨 Hyatt Hotels Corporation completed the acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts, a deal worth $2.6 billion, in February. This acquisition includes 15 all-inclusive resorts across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica, increasing Hyatt's portfolio. Playa's assets include Secrets La Romana and Dreams La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Hyatt's all-inclusive market expansion began in 2013, with significant growth in 2021 and 2024 through strategic acquisitions and partnerships.

Vikey's tech supports B&Bs, short-term rentals, and more, reinforcing Zucchetti's technological leadership.

📰 Digitrips celebrated its 10th anniversary, expanding into Northern Italy. In 2024, it achieved a revenue of €570 million with 280 employees across France, Benelux, and Italy. The platform offers hotels, flights, and dynamic packages, with car rentals added in September. Italy contributed €5 million in revenue, focusing on leisure and business travel. Key features include the "Smile Angels" loyalty program, 7-day booking options without advance payment, and B2B events like TTG Travel Experience in Italy.

📑 The historic Hotel des Bains in Lido di Venezia is set for a luxurious comeback after 10+ years of abandonment. A €200 million, 3-year renovation led by Coima Esg City Impact Fund and Eagle Hills will restore its Belle Époque grandeur. The project includes urban regeneration and a luxury resort transformation. Eagle Hills' involvement boosts Italy-UAE economic relations and aligns with a 15% rise in foreign investment in Italy's hotel sector in 2024.

💸 Cattel SpA aims to expand in the hotel sector, which currently contributes 11% to its revenue. Focused in Northeast Italy along the Alto Adriatico coast, Cattel seeks to reduce seasonality and diversify its market. The food & beverage sector contributes 28% to hotel revenues, generating approximately €3.5 billion. Marco Zonato joins as a hotel specialist to drive growth. 40% of Italian hotels, about 13,000, have restaurants contributing 25-40% of their revenue.

🍷 Fantini, a leading Italian wine group, recently acquired the ex Venta la Vega winery in Alpera, Spain. This move enables them to potentially increase their Spanish production tenfold in the next decade, aiming for 10 million bottles annually from the current 1 million. Finca Fella covers 1,300-1,400 hectares and includes 231 hectares of vineyards within 800 hectares. Situated in Castilla-La Mancha, these vineyards thrive at 1,200 meters altitude, offering unique microclimates for exceptional wine production.

✈️ From July 1, Ita Airways expands its partnership with Lufthansa through new codeshare agreements, enhancing travel options for Italian passengers. These agreements cover routes in Europe, Africa, and South America, including Kenya, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, and Sierra Leone. Lufthansa group passengers can access intercontinental destinations like Bangkok, Jeddah, Riyadh, Cairo, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo with a single ticket. Further long-haul codeshare routes will be added in the coming months.

🌍 David Collado, the Dominican Republic's Tourism Minister, highlighted at the Milan leg of the European Roadshow that the nation welcomed 11.215 million international visitors in 2024, a 6% increase from 2023. Tourism contributes 15-17% of the GDP, valued at $10.7 billion. From January to April, Italian visitors rose by 10% to 50,000.
