Albergatori oltre il Giubileo “Occorre ridurre le tasse”

  • Tony Loeb
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
🏠 In Rome, the upcoming Jubilee is expected to boost Italy's reputation for the next 10 years. The 21st edition of Albergatore Day revealed a positive outlook from hoteliers, with an increase in 5-star hotels and adaptations to new standards. Federalberghi's President Bernabò Bocca highlighted challenges in hiring due to staff shortages and high taxation, urging the government to cut tax wedge. Post-Jubilee, Bocca predicts a potential 17% growth in 2026, despite anticipating a less stellar 2025 due to increased operational costs. Giuseppe Roscioli, President of Federalberghi Rome, noted that Rome has halved the gap with other European capitals, recovering 25% in presence and average pricing. Mayor Roberto Gualtieri aspires for Rome to become the top European capital.

Boccato, HNH: “Il mercato italiano si è normalizzato”

  • Tony Loeb
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
📌 Luca Boccato, CEO of HNH Hospitality, projects 2025 as a year where Italian tourist flows normalize but sees a strong recovery from international markets, especially from overseas. Italian tourism grew significantly in 2023, with a peak, but is expected to stabilize in 2025. The Asian region shows growing interest in Italy, with Australia expected to strengthen its recovery in the coming months. Despite a slow evolution in the Italian hospitality sector, with high fragmentation, HNH Hospitality aims to exceed €120 million in turnover in 2025, after closing the fiscal year on October 31, 2024, with a record €113 million. They are diversifying, including a management contract for Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan, to be relaunched in 2026 with the MGallery brand of Accor.

  • Tony Loeb
  • 28 Gennaio 2025

Domanda in crescita e special interest: il 2025 per Simon Kucher

  • Tony Loeb
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
🏆 Simon Kucher's survey involved Italy, the USA, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and Gulf countries, forecasting tourism budgets in 2025 with a slight increase of just over 1%, not keeping up with expected inflation. Italy and France exhibit the most negative sentiment, with Italy's budget expected to decrease by 1% and France's by 1.7%. Conversely, the USA anticipates a 2.5% increase, and Gulf countries expect a 3.6% rise. Despite the cost concerns, 40% of respondents will pay more attention to accommodation expenses, with only 25% opting for destinations closer to home. Italians are even less likely to stay close to home, at 20%. Millennials (26-41 years) are most likely to cut accommodation spending, followed by Gen X (42-57 years), while travelers over 58 are least likely to reduce their vacation budgets. Despite general budget tightness, 20% of Italians will seek higher-quality accommodations, and 10% will choose better transport options. Over 40% of sports fans are willing to spend more on events, willing to pay 31% more for accommodation and 28% more for flights. Similarly, 41% of music tourism enthusiasts are prepared to pay more for lodging, and 39% for air travel.
