🚌 Italo and Gnv introduced a new intermodal connection from Northern Italy to Sicily, targeting holidaymakers returning home for Easter. This initiative, supported by the Sicilian Region, combines high-speed train service to Naples and Gnv ferry service to Palermo. Operates on April 17 for departure and April 21 for the return, offering reduced fares.

🥂 Disaronno, the world's most consumed Italian liqueur, celebrates its 500th anniversary in 2025, with the introduction of "Disaronno Bar" in emerging areas of Italian cities. The initiative creates a "new-stalgia" vibe, blending traditional "Endless Dolcevita" with modern influences. Launching in April, Disaronno Day on April 19 coincides with the brand's quincentennial, starting at Milan's Bicchierino Bar. Celebrations extend to over 160 countries with a chance to win a trip to Rome and a globally-shared hashtag #Disaronno500cheers. A special "Dolcevita" cocktail, crafted by Patrick Pistolesi, is unveiled, containing 40ml Disaronno, 20ml Rabarbaro Zucca, 15ml The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth, 20ml lemon juice, 10ml pineapple juice, and 5ml Agave syrup. Disaronno's history began in 1525, associated with Bernardino Luini and the Reina family, leading to the creation of Illva Saronno in 1947. The brand's iconic square-capped, faceted glass bottle is recognized worldwide as an Italian style symbol.

🍷 GustoSa returns to Vinitaly in Verona from April 6 to 9, 2025, for a sensory journey featuring Salerno's authentic flavors and finest wines and spirits. Organized by the Salerno Chamber of Commerce and MTN Company, the event offers exclusive tastings at Hall B, stands 116-117. 🍷 Vinitaly Tourism will present a study by Movimento Turismo del Vino on regional differences in Italian wine tourism on April 9, 2025. The study by CESEO highlights distinctions in tourism offerings, such as the South's focus on entertainment and food-wine pairing, and online presence; the Central region's emphasis on landscape activities like vineyard picnics; and the North's flexibility in weekend opening days. The South leads in online communication, with 55% considering it key for revenue. Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, and Umbria offer numerous premium experiences, especially in Central Italy with 85% of the premium options. The event will discuss these regional characteristics and potentials.

🍽 Celebrated chef Massimo Bottura joins Vinitaly for the first time to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Francescana Family, running "Al Massimo" restaurant at Pad. 1 Regione Emilia-Romagna. The menu features an innovative Cotechino Modena IGP, inspired by Damien Hirst's spin paintings, available on April 7 and 9. The Consorzio Zampone e Cotechino Modena IGP, established in 2001 in Milanofiori (Milano), oversees the promotion of these products, with 13 member companies representing all producers.

🍷 At Vinitaly, Bellussi unveiled their latest creation, the BellusSì Blanc de Blancs Millesimato Extra Brut 2023, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. This sparkling wine, with a sugar content of around 3 grams per liter, originates from the volcanic soils of Val di Cembra, Trentino, and promises a refined elegance and freshness. Bellussi, led by the Martellozzo family, has a history of innovation dating back to 1993. The new Blanc de Blancs joins BellusSì Blanc de Noir and BellusSì Prosecco Rosé. Vinitaly 2025 also marks the 20th anniversary of Belpoggio estate, known for its Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino, with international tastings leading up to celebrations in Italy.

🍾 During Vinitaly in Verona (April 6-9), Salumi Coati's renowned products were featured at "La Merenda dei Campioni". The event showcased the Salame Ungherese Lenta Stagionatura and Salame Milano Lenta Stagionatura, both awarded 5 pins by the Guida I Salumi d'Italia. Fabio Cordella created The Wine of The Champions collection, pairing wines with famous footballers like Ronaldinho. 🏅 Nova Gorica and Gorizia will be celebrated as the European Capital of Culture as Giro d'Italia's 14th stage starts from Treviso on May 24, 2025, ending with a 13.8 km circuit in Nova Gorica/Gorizia. Slovenia hosts the Giro for the 6th time, with past stages in Kranj, Bled, Portorose, and Lubiana. Giro-E, the e-bike version, features 18 stages across Italy, culminating in Nova Gorica. I Feel Slovenia will participate as a daily team on May 24, showcasing a green livery. Slovenia aims to attract part of the Giro's 800 million viewers, with the tourism board also joining Giro-E on May 29 in Cesano Maderno.

🍷 Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo at 57th Vinitaly, April 6-9, in Padiglione 12 showcasing Modello Abruzzo's revamped identity. Abruzzo's viticultural sector nearly €300 million in value, with growing exports. Over 50 local wineries and 100 regional companies attending.
