Gelato Day a Sigep: il gelato artigianale tocca gli 11 miliardi in Europa
🍨 The 46th edition of SIGEP WORLD took place in Rimini from January 18-22, preluding the 13th European Artisanal Gelato Day on March 24. Europe leads with 65,000 gelaterias, employing 300,000 people. Italy and Germany are top markets with 39,000 and 9,000 points of sale, respectively. In 2024, the European artisanal gelato market reached sales of €11 billion (+1% from 2023), with a similar increase in volume sold. Italy's gelato sector grew by 0.5%-1% to nearly €3 billion, maintaining over 9,300 gelaterias. The new official flavor for Gelato Day 2025 is "Hallelujah", selected in a contest at SIGEP.
