🏠 Numa Group expands into Hungary, announcing a new property at Klauzál utca 8-10 in Budapest's Erzsébetváros district. Numa's Central European portfolio includes five properties in Prague, three in Vienna, and now one in Hungary. The Budapest property, housed in a 19th-century building, will blend historic charm with modern design and technology. Numa Group's President Dimitri Chandogin highlights Budapest's tourism appeal, noting that nearly 60% of Hungary's international tourist traffic is in the city, making it one of the top 15 European tourist destinations. The expansion is a strategic milestone for Numa, emphasizing their digital-first approach to enhancing guest experiences while preserving the city's historic character.

🏖️ Mandarin Oriental announces the opening of Mandarin Oriental Esencia in Porto Rico for 2028. Located at Cabo Rojo on the southwestern coast in Boquerón Bay, the resort will feature 106 rooms and suites, each with a balcony, terrace, or private garden with pool. Additionally, there will be a collection of 83 branded villas along the beach, hills, and cliffs, plus over 200 private residences within six-story buildings. Facilities include five restaurants, a beach club, a poolside bar, an elegant lounge bar, and an 18-hole golf course designed by Rees Jones. The resort will also offer a spa, a fitness center with an outdoor swimming pool, a beauty salon, a kids club, and an adventure park. The project is a collaboration between Reuben Brothers, Three Rules Capital, and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, with architecture by Studiomk27.

🏖 Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (Fmtg) will manage the former Hotel Alpine Palace, now rebranded as Falkensteiner Hotel Saalbach-Hinterglemm, set to reopen in winter 2026/2027 after a €40 million renovation by BWM Architecture & Design. In Italy, three new Falkensteiner openings are planned from 2025 to 2027 including a 5-star hotel with 97 rooms and 170 Premium Living apartments at Lake Garda by Matteo Thun and Joao Nunes, Falkensteiner Hotel Bozen Waltherpark with 113 rooms, and a family resort in Licata, Sicily with 125 rooms.

🏨 Minor Hotels plans to add 285 new hotels and 47,000 rooms by the end of 2027, aiming for 850 properties globally. Over 50% of current properties are in Europe, with expansion including over 100 in Asia, 60 in the Middle East and Africa, and 40 in Australia and New Zealand. Key markets include Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, and India, where the Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur Hotel recently opened. Luxury and upscale segments drive growth, with Anantara, Tivoli, and Elewana Collection brands. Upcoming openings in 2025 include nhow Rome in Q2, Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel in Portugal, and Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles Resort in Q3. Anantara enters the luxury tented camp market with Anantara Kafue River Zambia Tented Camp, and NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort will reopen after a six-month renovation.

🏦 Palazzo Castelluccio in Noto, Italy is set for a transformation into a luxury boutique hotel with 31 suites, a spa, and event spaces, funded by a €15 million investment from Gruppo BCC Iccrea and BCC Banca Iccrea in collaboration with Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Pachino. The historic 1782 building, a symbol of Sicilian heritage, is expected to open in mid-2027 and aims to become a high-end tourist attraction, enhancing the region's economic growth and cultural prestige.

🥂 Lubna, a new listening restaurant bar in Milan’s Scalo Romana area near Fondazione Prada and Fondazione ICA, is the latest venture by the Moebius team, known for their Michelin-starred establishment and a 38th ranking in The World’s 50 Best Bars. The multifunctional space designed by Q-bic features Magma for events, Scaramouche art gallery, and Lubna at its core, offering live DJ vinyl music every weekend and a cinema room with continuous animated projections. 🏡 Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi partners with Swedish luxury carpet brand Kasthall for a complete textile furnishing restyling, emphasizing design and sustainability by replacing carpets in rooms and common areas. The durable previous carpets, installed at the hotel's opening, highlighted Kasthall's excellence since 1889, combining natural materials and contemporary design. Discarded carpets were given to staff upon request, with proceeds donated to charity. 🏦 CDP Real Asset SGR and HNH Hospitality announced a partnership for a new five-star hotel, Radisson Collection, at the UNESCO World Heritage site, Cavallerizza Reale in Turin. Scheduled to open by 2028, the 130-room hotel is part of a €35 million investment by the FIV fund, managed by CDP Real Asset SGR. Genius Loci Architettura of Florence is responsible for the innovative and sustainable design, while Studio Marco Piva of Milan is in charge of interior design.
