🏨 Constance Hospitality and IKO (Mauritius) Hotel Ltd have signed a strategic agreement for the management of a hotel in Le Chaland, on the southeastern coast of Mauritius. Starting February 2026, the hotel will join Constance Hotels & Resorts as Constance Le Chaland, strengthening the brand's presence in the Indian Ocean. The property will feature 170 rooms, eight restaurants, a spa, and pools, focusing on luxury sustainability and blending with the natural landscape.

🌴 Adler Spa Resort Sicilia, located in Siculiana, will reopen on February 5, 2026, after its winter break. The eco-resort is renowned for experiential and mindful tourism, offering activities like a botanical-cultural trail among almond blossoms and trekking from Gole del Lupo to Castello di Poggiodiana. A Tai Chi retreat is scheduled from February 15-22. Director Sami Aglietti emphasizes providing a home-like atmosphere for guests, highlighting the importance of time and deep regeneration.

✈️ JetBlue is set to launch a daily Boston-Milan Malpensa route starting May 11, 2024, through to October 2026. The U.S. airline, neither a traditional nor a low-cost carrier, aims for over 50% of sales through agencies and a load factor exceeding 80%. It features spacious Airbus 321neo LR aircraft and the unique Mint Class, positioned between business and first class, offering on-demand meals and high-speed Wi-Fi.

🍷 In October 2025, Vedat Akar launched a second Mathilda's Cocktail Bar in Etiler, Istanbul. The bar, founded with Murat Güney in 2019 in Moda, is celebrated for its experimental cocktails like the Tesla X, selling around 2,000 monthly. Akar, a Diageo World Class finalist (2016, 2017), emphasizes hospitality, blending Turkish and international comfort food. 🏠 Gruppo Mangia's acquires Acacia Resort in Cefalù, Sicily, for 2026. The 4-star all-inclusive resort targets families, offering 251 rooms, including standard, superior, deluxe, and family rooms, with pet-friendly options. Acacia, alongside Pollina and Himera resorts, forms an ecosystem on Cefalù’s northern coast. Marcello Mangia aims to exceed 4,000 rooms by 2026. The resort will feature four modular conference rooms, accommodating up to 410 people, enhancing its appeal as a congress center.

🍕 Rom'antica, a brand of Gruppo Finiper Canova, opened its 60th store on December 22 in Rimini's historic center, Corso Augusto 90-92. The new location, open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, aims to appeal to both residents and tourists. Known for its 24-hour leavened and fresh seasonal ingredient pizzas, the brand strengthens its presence in Emilia-Romagna, already operating in Parma, Modena, Ferrara, and Reggio Emilia.

🏠 Montepulciano's Sant'Albino thermal baths, established in 1966, were acquired in July 2025 by Andrea Chiappini (IVH Group founder) and architect Francesco d’Amico. They plan a €16M investment to revamp the site into a 5-star international wellness destination, adding a 4,000m² luxury hotel to the existing 7,800m². The resort will offer 70-75 rooms, with some suites up to 55m², and a large 30m x 30m pool. Opening is set for 2027.

🏨 Four Genoese entrepreneurs have transformed the ex-Hotel Astor in Nervi, Genoa, into the five-star Capitolo Riviera. Opened in 2026, this luxury hotel underwent a €11 million renovation, reducing rooms from 41 to 37 to enhance comfort. The Parisotto + Formenton-designed hotel includes a spa, heated pool, and a meeting room. 90% of guests are international, and the restaurant, led by Chef Giovanni Astolfoni, recently won two culinary awards. The hotel targets €5 million in annual revenue.

🍕 L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele opens in Perugia, Umbria on January 8, at the historic former Caffè of Perugia, Via Mazzini 10. The venue accommodates 70-80 guests across two floors. It blends Neapolitan and Umbrian design elements featuring stone vaults and wood mezzanines. Administrators Alessandro Condurro and Francesco De Luca emphasize honoring local heritage. The menu includes signature margherita and marinara pizzas, sticking to traditional recipes, with a selection of classic Neapolitan fried dishes.
