Un prestito per viaggiare: il trend under 30

  • Tony Loeb
  • 6 Agosto 2024
💸 In 2024, there was a 2% increase from 2023 and a 12% annual rise in vacation loans in Italy, totaling nearly 250 million euros in personal loans. Around 150,000 applications were recorded, averaging nearly 5,000 euros per loan to be repaid in 50 monthly installments. The trend is particularly strong among under-30s, who make up one-third of the demand, with the average age of applicants at 38 years. Economic reasons drive this surge, with 6.5 million Italians skipping vacations and another 7.7 million uncertain about traveling, 56% citing financial issues as the cause. Young people under 25 and seniors over 65 are most affected, with over 70% of the latter forgoing holidays due to economic constraints.

Passaporto in posta Da oggi anche nelle grandi città

  • Tony Loeb
  • 6 Agosto 2024
🗺 Passport application services at postal offices began in Bologna, Cagliari, and Verona. This initiative, launched as part of the Polis project signed by Poste Italiane and the Ministry of Economic Development in 2021, aims to transform post offices in towns with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants into multiservice centers. Poste Italiane extended the project to larger cities following a new agreement with the Ministry of the Interior. By September, the service will expand to Rome, Milan, Naples, and other Italian cities, alleviating the difficulties experienced by Italians in obtaining passports over the past year. Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanché acknowledges the contributions of the Ministries of the Interior and Foreign Affairs and Poste Italiane to this effort.

  • Tony Loeb
  • 6 Agosto 2024
🌱 Italian agritourisms experienced a downturn during the summer season, with over 55% of facilities seeing less foot traffic than in previous years. Only 20% reported consistent figures with past seasons. The most sought-after regions were Puglia, Tuscany, and Calabria. Italian guests accounted for about 48%, with the remainder coming mainly from Central and Northern Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Poland, Belarus, Austria, France, and the Netherlands, as well as long-distance locations like Israel, the USA, Canada, and Australia. Investments are being made to enhance service quality and quantity, with a focus on experiential tourism and cycling tourism, supported by a partnership with the Italian Cycling Federation.
