British Airways, Wizz Air e Lot sospendono i voli su Israele

✈ European airlines, including British Airways, Wizz Air, and Lot, are halting flights to Israel amidst escalating conflict. British Airways has announced a stop to its operations until at least tomorrow, Thursday, September 26. Meanwhile, Azal Azerbaijan Airlines has also suspended flights. Affected customers are being contacted by Wizz Air as airlines continue to monitor the situation closely.

Giamaica, dall’inizio dell’anno 3 milioni di visitatori e guadagni per 3 miliardi di dollari

📍 From the start of 2024, Jamaica's tourism sector welcomed approximately 3 million visitors, earning around $3 billion. Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett highlighted these figures during Tourism Awareness Week 2024. The island recorded 4.29 million visitors and revenues of $4.38 billion in 2023. Despite challenges like US travel advisories and Hurricane Beryl, current figures slightly outpace last year's, keeping on track for the 2025 goal of 5 million visitors and $5 billion in earnings.

Eva Air a TTG Travel Experience per svelarsi alle agenzie

🏩 Eva Air, an airline with four weekly flights from Milan Malpensa to Taipei, will participate in TTG Travel Experience at Rimini to present new offerings and strengthen trade relations. In 2024-2025, Eva Air signed a partnership with Monza football team and official partnership with the Consulate General of the Philippines in Milan starting May, promoting development and collaboration with travel insurance companies like Heymondo and tourism entities in Thailand and Malaysia.

VisitRimini: nuovi pacchetti per tutto l’anno

🏖 VisitRimini sold over 2,000 experiences in 2023 and introduced new offers across art, culture, sports, outdoor, educational and beach attractions outside summer. At TTG Travel Experience, Coralie Delaubert and Simona Raimondi announced the packages, leveraging 40,000 beds in 1,000 hotels and 135 km of cycling routes. Options range from 2 to 4-night stays, including houseboats and historic residences, and will be showcased at Riminifiera, October 9-11, at stand 007-008.

Vacanze ‘cashless’ in Italia, aumentano i pagamenti digitali del 24,5%

💳 In Italy, summer 2024 saw a 24.5% increase in cashless transactions in tourism, with only 15% from international cards, a 10% decrease from the previous year. Top cashless spenders were from the USA (13.9%), UK (10.3%), and France (10.2%), spending more on average than Italians. Nearly 1 in 10 international card payments exceeded 100 euros. Transactions concentrated in Venice (41.8%), Siena (38.6%), and La Spezia (34.2%). Polish tourists had a 40% increase in digital payments, while German and Swedish payments rose by 18% and 16%, respectively. Foreigners tend to spend more, with a notable 3.8% of international transactions over 200 euros, compared to 1% by Italians.

Air France, rebranding per la premium economy: diventa ‘Premium’

✈ Air France rebrands its Premium Economy to "Premium" for a more exclusive offering. Majority of the fleet will feature new, wider reclining seats by end 2025. The upgrade comes 15 years after the class was first introduced, enhancing service including dining. The expanded Premium seat will be available on selected Boeing 777 and Airbus A350, covering around 80% of the fleet by end of 2025, offering 94-97 cm legroom and an adjustable footrest.
