In 2023, tourism contributed €215 billion to the national GDP, 10.5%, and created 185,000 jobs, making up one in eight jobs in Italy.

Il Portogallo cresce nel primo semestre: +4,5% le notti

🏖️ Portuguese tourism sees a rise in overnight stays by 4.5% in the first half of the year, with international markets rising by 5.8% versus a modest 1.4% growth domestically. Hotel sector numbers for June recorded a 6.7% increase in guests and 4.8% in overnight stays. However, a slowdown in domestic tourism was noted with a 0.8% decrease in Q2 after a 4.7% increase in Q1, while foreign visitor nights grew by 8.7% in Q1 and 4.2% in Q2 according to the National Institute of Statistics of Portugal.
